Aims for December 2016 – the results!

The end is nigh! The end of the year that is. I’m actually pleased the end of the year is here. This year has been a bit of a mixed bag. With the death of my Dad and lots of other nasty surprises along the way I’ll be glad when 2017 starts. I know that a new year doesn’t actually mean everything is suddenly going to be fine but we can dream hey! Anyway, here is my aims for December 2016 – the results!

Aims for December 2016 - the results

Home / Family Aims for December 2016 – the results!

Get us both to the Doctors. Achieved.

I’ve been told I’ve likely got arthritis in my back, a specific type. January sees me start working with a physiotherapist and making an MRI hopefully to check the specifics.

Find a suitable new bed. Failed.

We did work out that we want a kingsize divan with drawers – so that is something!

Try 5 new recipes. Achieved.

This was easy with Christmas. Stuffing, bread, gravy, all the good foods!

Give 10 items to charity. Achieved.

This was also nice and easy. I had a declutter, packed a bag and off it went.

Make a Christmas decoration. Achieved.

We made a handprint of Daisy’s hand for the tree.

Make Nanny a Christmas present. Achieved.

We used this kit to make a handprint of Daisy’s hand and also displayed a nice photo of Daisy and her Nanny.

Financial Aims for December 2016 – the results!

Make £500 from matched betting. Achieved.

Was harder this month as there weren’t as many offers around, but I managed it with just risk free offers.

Make £200 of Amazon vouchers. Achieved.

I made them and promptly spent them on Christmas!

Start my survey savings fund. Achieved.

I’m really looking forward to my savings goals in 2017!

Online Aims for December 2016 – the results!

Post 25 times. Achieved.

This was easy thanks to Blogmas. I really enjoyed writing Christmas themed posts. I fit in a few others too and it was my busiest ever month for content. Also, it was my busiest ever month for traffic so that was nice!

Grow my Twitter to 5,000. Achieved.

I managed this at the last minute – just! I’m so proud as it means I have more than doubled my following in around 6-8 months.

Host 2 competitions. Achieved.

I love giving people the chance to win something. I’m a fan of entering competitions myself so this always feels like great karma! I’ve given away DVDs and a puzzle too!

Schedule at least 10 posts for January. Achieved.

I have scheduled 10 posts exactly – so I’m really happy with that!

It has been another fantastic month for me. I’m really pleased with what I have achieved. We haven’t got around to choosing a new bed yet although we know what type of bed we want and that we want a kingsize. So that is something! I’m already looking forward to the new year now. I’m not going to say anything like ‘New year, new me’ but I’m looking forward to 2017!

You have done well Katy. I love reading these type of blog posts. I think with the bed, It could be an opportunity as a blogger? I’ll keep my eyes out if I hear of any brands looking for bed reviews. 🙂

Choosing a new bed can be really difficult! It’s not something you want to just go into with no thought. I’m pretty sure some of your amazing motivation has rubbed off on me, because I’m also quite well scheduled into January for the first time ever. Haha. Well done 🙂 x

That is fantastic Aimee – I’m so thrilled! Well done you! I try and use the time where I am ahead to get ahead again and complete some of those ‘one day’ jobs like working on SEO etc!

You have been so productive, well done! Do you find posting goals on your blog makes you more accountable?! I’m going to aim to write more achievable to do lists for myself this month in my planner. Good luck with the bed hunt, and Happy New Year!

I really do! I hate coming back and saying that I have failed – this pushes me on to get my backside in gear.

That sounds like a great idea! I love an achievable to do list – always so motivating.
