Approved Food Review

If you’re a regular reader of mine you probably like to make money and maybe even save money too. Just because you’re earning a nice amount of money online, thanks to my favourite websites, doesn’t mean that you need to overspend when it comes to groceries. I’ve wrote a post before on ways to avoid overspending on groceries and Approved Food is a fantastic way to make savings – up to 70% on selected items!

I’ve recently done a shop with Approved Food, for the first time in a long time, and wanted to show you some of the fantastic branded products that I picked up. The RRPs compared to the prices that I paid are absolutely fantastic and this is just a very very small selection of the items that Approved Food have on offer.

Approved Food specialise in selling food that is past its best before date. In some cases items are just days past their best before date, in other cases a little more. I’ve bought a selection of items, and already used some of them, including baby food, snacks, drinks and more. I’m yet to find a single item, of the ones I’ve sampled, that tastes noticeably different to the one I’d buy in the supermarket for more money and with a longer best before.

Approved Food review - showing all of the goodies that I bought

As you can see I got quite a variety of different items. I didn’t look for the items that had the biggest RRP saving, just for the purpose of this post, and instead I look for items for our upcoming break to Centerparcs (that we are on right as this post goes live!). I wanted to get us some snacks, to save us a small fortune in the on site shop, and to enjoy our holiday together.

As you can see I spent £35.26 and I received goods worth around £85.53. This means that I saved £50.27 which was almost 60% (58.77%) compared to the RRP for my goods. I didn’t choose items based on their RRP, as you can see from the mouthwash and the baby tethers, but it was good to be able to order a real range of different store cupboard items – they even had some fresh vegetables on offer. Why not have a look at Approved Food today and save yourself a nice chunk of money too? They have different items every single day with deals available daily – some items are as low as 1p!

I love that I could stock up my cupboard, order supplies, drinks and all manner of cupboard items and get them delivered too. I live in a flat so having someone bring the heavier items is really convenient. I only need to pop to the supermarket for fresh items in the next few weeks now which is great and an energy saver as well as a money saver!

The delivery was prompt, I was kept informed of the delivery via the Approved Food website/via email and overall the whole process was very straight forward. As I was adding items to my basket they were reserved for 30 minutes, and this reset when I added items. This was good for me as it allowed me to spend a good 45 minutes perusing the website ensuring that I was getting lots of suitable items that we would actually use.

This is a collaborative post made possible thanks to the great people at Approved Food.
