I’ve got the frizziest hair ever. Or at least that is how it feels. My hair is a blinking nightmare! If I don’t use Frizz Ease shampoo and Frizz Ease straightening spray (or 3 day straight) it looks atrocious. I look like I’ve not bothered to brush my hair to be frank. Using a hairdryer, and straighteners, is part of my regular routine. I was offered the chance to try out this Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Hairdryer (available here) I could hardly say no! Anything that could improve the appearance of my hair is well worth it for me. You can grab it next day with a free Amazon Prime trial too if that takes your fancy.
My lovely husband and I had an up and down year in 2016. First my Mum was in a coma, and almost died. Then I almost died when our daughter arrived and it was a long recovery after my c-section. Then my friend found out she had womb cancer. To top it all off my Dad passed away from cancer – all in the first six months of the year. Daisy was poorly, my father-in-law too and in all we had a rough first six months. The second half of the year did see a vast improvement. Anyway, 2017 could be another up and down year, who knows. To celebrate a new year, and being alive I have created a 2017 bucket list. This is full of lovely things that I want to enjoy with my family.
*This is a sponsored post*. In the estate where we live there are a number of different car parking areas. Each resident in our new build estate has their own numbered parking space. Some people have two. Quite a few houses in our estate have garages that run through the length of the house and into a paved area in the back garden. I always think this is bizarre! Our car parking space is tucked up the side of our building. The space isn’t bad at all, it isn’t open to the elements much, it is enclosed on two sides and we only have one person who parks next to us. Despite this I can’t help but wish our car was parked under a car canopy sometimes. Our friends have one and they don’t even have to de-ice their car most days – lucky!
January is a bit of a rubbish month really isn’t it. Even if you’re good with money it is still not the best. The long pay day, the short daylight, the weather. Not much about January is cheery. Personally I like the new year. I like to set my goals for the year. I also love to spring clean my home. Besides that though I can see why people find January depressing. By this point in the month I’m looking forward to January being over. The New Year is the ideal time to think about what you want to achieve for the year. New Year, New You and all that!
Do you like saving money? Could you live on £2 per head per day? I thought that we could and I was right! Today I’m going to share with you how I got on for the #2poundchallenge. We took part last week for a day and I found it a little more difficult than I initially thought. While we often have days where we eat for £2 per head, or less, it is never enforced as such. If I want to buy some fancy ice cream, or have a glass of wine, I can. Our finances are good these days, so we can afford to be a little more generous with our shopping budget. This doesn’t mean that I want to just waste money, however, I’m happy to splash out from time to time. Anyway, see below to find out how we did with the #2poundchallenge!
