Happy Friday! I love seeing what everyone is linking up and getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

Katykickers weekly meal planning linky

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan. I sit down once a week and look at what groceries we have available. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! I don’t always want to go out in the car and browse the aisles so I find online shopping really convenient. This week we HAVE gone back to Aldi though, and the saving was really worthwhile for us.

My favourite meal plan from last week was: Budget Food Plan from Shoestring Cottage

The Meal Planning Linky Week #67

This week I have planned 7 dinners. We’ve got a fairly busy week on, as I’ve got lots of work at the moment, so I’ve planned specific dinners for specific days too, which I don’t normally do.

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #67 are:

Slow cooker spaghetti bolognese

Pizza dough in the breadmaker

Pizza + chicken night

Slow cooker lasagne (recipe I’m working on)

Sausages, mash & vegetables with gravy

Slow cooker beef chilli - A sneak peek at the end result

Slow cooker chilli with rice & tortilla chips

Fish burgers & wedges

Recipe kit from Aldi (for convenience)

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

It’s nice but it doesn’t go crispy on the top sadly!

Lasagne in a slow cooker? Does the cheese go crispy at the edges?
    Hungry now!

I haven’t had chilli and rice for so long… must think about it in the near future. I love a good slow cooker recipe too.

I love a nice chilli! So convenient, cheap and the slow cooking really helps the flavour!

Fish burgers sound so nice not something I think I have ever tried. I have so much Fish in we might be using that one soon.

I have bought pre-made ones a few times but I’m definitely going to research making them myself!
