I cannot believe that we are already halfway through the year. Well, more than halfway! Mad. Anyway, back in January I wrote a post documenting our 2017 bucket list. 2016 was a bit of a rocky year and I wanted to ensure that 2017 would be full of fun and enjoyment for us. So far, so good! I want to share with you our 2017 bucket list update so you can see how well we are doing!

Here is a reminder of our 2017 bucket list at the beginning of the year:

Our 2017 Bucket List

I went through earlier this year, in our previous bucket list update, and used a traffic light system to mark off the entries. Red if not arranged, orange if organised and green if completed. This is a simple enough system I think! I’ve stuck to this throughout the months and regularly checked back to see how we are doing.

Here is a look at our 2017 bucket list update:

Our 2017 bucket list update - an updated look at what we have completed, what we have not completed and what is in progress. Bucket list ideas

If you want to be nice feel free to give this a pin – or better yet follow me on Pinterest!

As you can see there are now 8 items completed. This doesn’t leave a huge amount of time to complete the other 17 items. Eek! 7 items are in progress now and 1 item I’ve had to move back to red. Thanks Adele…! Anyway, this is our 2017 bucket list update.

Have a duvet day – I was feeling a little unwell a few weeks ago and spent an entire day in bed. It was really nice and just what I needed to get back on track mentally and physically. I watched some nice TV, slept lots, ate some nice food and just relaxed. Tom took care of Daisy and they had a lovely day together too.

Go to the theatre – My husband Tom turned 30 in May so I took him to see The Phantom of the Opera. We got a FANTASTIC DEAL! Tickets near the front, in stalls, would have been around £100 each. However, thanks to See Tickets we got a trip to the theatre and afternoon tea for HALF the price! It was a right bargain and I was chuffed. See Tickets have a ton of great deals so I know we’ll do something like this again soon!

Go for afternoon tea – As above! For Tom’s 30th Birthday we went to London. We had afternoon tea at The Brumus Hotel and it was delicious. Posh surroundings, lovely service and amazing food. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to go out for an afternoon tea again now. They even had good that I liked!

Go to the beach – Last month we took Daisy and my Father-in-law to Southend. It was a lovely day and we took in the sights. We went along the beach, walked up the pier and went to Sealife Adventure Southend which was really nice.

There are items on the bucket list update that are on their way to being completed:

Visit the Shard – We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary later this year, in November, so may visit for that. If not we will go up in September. Hoping to visit the Emirates Air Line the same day!

Enjoy a hotel stay – Again, 10th anniversary in November. We will be staying locally, as it will be the first time we have left Daisy overnight with anyone!

Learn to use my DSLR – I’m not sure if I’ll be succeeding with this now… Especially as I just bought a new *Canon G7X Mark ii instead and I’m in love with it.

Make ice cream – I own an *ice cream maker and I’m sure I have done this now. However I can’t remember…! I’m going to have another go!

Enjoy 5 holidays – We’ve got our 4th holiday booked, and paid for. Winter Wonderland at Centerparcs. Not sure where the 5th one will be yet! Still time to decide though. Maybe we’ll tie it in with our trip to Paris.

Lose 2 stone – I’ve lost half a stone. Better than nothing. My weight has been up and down since having Daisy and I’m usually too tired to care that much.

Attend the SHOMOS – I’ve got my ticket now. Also, I’ve got my ticket for Blog On Xmas too! Can’t wait to meet up with everyone but a bit sad at the prospect of being away from home for two nights.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this 2017 bucket list update! I’ve got to get my skates on if we want to complete our list this year. Eek! Anyway, I’m looking forward to lots more fun days out together.
