My lovely husband and I had an up and down year in 2016. First my Mum was in a coma, and almost died. Then I almost died when our daughter arrived and it was a long recovery after my c-section. Then my friend found out she had womb cancer. To top it all off my Dad passed away from cancer – all in the first six months of the year. Daisy was poorly, my father-in-law too and in all we had a rough first six months. The second half of the year did see a vast improvement. Anyway, 2017 could be another up and down year, who knows. To celebrate a new year, and being alive I have created a 2017 bucket list. This is full of lovely things that I want to enjoy with my family.

Here is our 2017 bucket list:

Our 2017 Bucket List

I am sure that most of these things are self explanatory!

The SHOMOs is a personal finance blogging conference and award show. I attended last year and had a fantastic time. I’m looking forward to networking with like minded bloggers again and having a nice trip to London in the process.

I know 5 holidays is quite a few but we already have three booked. Centerparcs x 3! I love Centerparcs. It is close to home if I get taken ill, I don’t have to fly and travel time is just 1 hour! I’m a nervous traveller and I’ve got a poorly pet. I want to be close to home if there is an emergency. Also, I love the service that Centerparcs offer. My family and I always have a wonderful time. There are LOTS of amazing activities, great food, warm and relaxing lodges and lots more. What is not to love?! I’ll be turning 29 at Centerparcs this year and my Mum will be enjoying her 56th Birthday there too later in the year!

A few of the items on this list are quite simple, but I just never seem to get round to doing. I’ve got an ice cream maker, but never find time to use it. The ones I’m most looking forward to as I write this would have to be growing flowers, going to Paris and losing 2 stone. All of these will enrich my life is some way – I can’t wait to see what this year brings for my family!

Fab to have things to look forward to, we’re dealing with the big C in the family at the moment and it’s pretty awful, I’m hoping we can start to plan fun things again soon x

Sorry to hear that, my closest friend (in her 30s) has cancer at the moment, just one thing after another isn’t it. I hope this year will be kind to you x

Paris is on my bucketlist, too! I haven’t been to Centreparcs in so long, but I have fond memories of it so can see why you go back there so often! Great bucket list – good luck!

I’d love to go back to Centre Parcs, have been twice and there’s now one near us so I’d love to go there, cut out the travelling part of going on holiday, but it’s just so expensive x

Out of school holidays is great. My sister is taking her children for Monday – Friday during time term as otherwise they just couldn’t afford a holiday. I think a holiday is a crucial part of family life (providing you can afford it – I don’t mean anything against those who can’t) so it is ok for the odd break from school!
