Aims for January 2017 – Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope that the year is kind to you. 2016 was a bit of a mixed year for me. We had a daughter, which was amazing. My Dad passed away, which wasn’t so great. Then there were other problems in between with my health, Daisy’s health and more. However, another year is over and I’m getting motivated for the year ahead! Today I want to share with you my Aims for January 2017. I love writing these posts each month and holding myself accountable.

Home aims for January 2017

Bake 3 times. I love baking and want to make more time for it this month.

Try 3 new recipes. Similarly I love trying new recipes. I’ve got the lean in 15 book and I want to try some of the delicious looking recipes.

Use my breadmaker 3 times. I’m hoping to make pizza dough, perhaps a tear & share bread and some chocolate chip brioche.

Run my chest freezer down. We’ve got some random bits after the festive season. I want to use everything up, de-ice my freezer and then complete a nice big shop.

Buy, sell or donate 20 items. It is always nice to have a de-clutter at this time of year. I’m going to start by looking through old toiletries. Then I’m going to sort out my wardrobe.

Spring clean. I may not complete the whole spring clean this month but I want to write a list of jobs that get neglected throughout the year and get cracking! I didn’t do much of a deep spring clean last year so my home is a bit top show tidy!

Health / Medical aims for January 2017

Arrange physiotherapy. I’ve recently had an issue with my back. It looks like arthritis but I need to see the physiotherapist before I can get things confirmed.

Go to the dentist for a check-up. I’m now a month overdue so I really need to do before it gets pushed off my to do list!

Make sure Tom goes to the Doctor. After visiting last month Tom found out he has a problem with his foot and another with his nose. He has been prescribed medication but we have to wait and see, after 6 weeks, how he is doing. I want to make sure he doesn’t ‘forget’ to go!

Financial aims for January 2017

Start saving for our new car. I’m setting myself a HUGE aim this year. I want to buy us a car (2-3 years old) using money made solely from online surveys. This is a BIG challenge and I want around £7,000 for this one! Eek! I’ll be updating regularly too!

Earn £500 from matched betting. This one is self explanatory really. December was quieter than other months but I beat my goal and I’m sure that I will be able to in future months. During my best 4 months I made £15,000 in 2016!

Earn £1,000+ from my moneymaking bootcamp. I’m running a bootcamp over on The Money Shed (starting on the 3rd) and I want to make £1,000+ from the methods that I list for others to use.

Start the penny a day savings challenge. This is something I took part in last year. I want to save a penny a day, increasing each day by 1p, so 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p, each day etc. Then by the end of the year I’ll have about £700 saved up for Christmas. This is a great way to pay for Christmas guilt free and it was great fun too!

Boost my affiliate income by 10%. This should be a fairly easy one. I love affiliate income, as it is money made while others are also making money. I love being able to earn money while I’m not even working. This month my moneymaking bootcamp over on TMS should help!

Online aims for January 2017

Schedule posts for January. I want to schedule the entire month by the 5th. This will then leave me free to keep on top of work as it comes in. Also, I will be able to spend lots of time with Tom and Daisy – hopefully even get down the allotment!

Enter 300 competitions. I haven’t entered competitions really since I was pregnant. Now that I am settling into a routine after getting back to work I should have enough free time. I already visit daily free prize draw websites but I want to enter competitions for items I really want to win!

Add £100 to my Amazon account. I want to get saving for my husband’s Birthday in May. £100 would be a great start towards this.

Blog 20 times in January. I’ve got more than 20 ideas for blog posts this month so this should be easy!

Grow my Twitter by 500. My Twitter, and social media, has been growing well lately. I’d love to go up 500 followers in January! You can follow me on Twitter if you want to help out!

Grow my Instagram by 200. Likewise with Instagram. I’m trying to boost my social media profiles to reach more people. You can follow me on Instagram if you want to help me with my goal!

Some good goals! I also had the dentist to tick off my list (got a filling on Wednesday for a problem I didn’t know I had, for a wisdom tooth I didn’t know existed – my jaw still hurts!) Hope all goes well for Tom on the medication, fingers crossed. x

Did you manage to meet all your goals? It’s definitely good to put down goals in writing as it makes you more likely to reach them!
