Happy January! Happy New Year! I love a fresh year and a fresh month for setting goals. I’m really excited for 2019 as I know it is going to bring very exciting things for my family. The next couple of months will just be spent wasting away our days in the excitement of moving into our first house together as a family of 3! Anyway, here we go! Here are my Aims for January 2019.

Aims for January 2019

Home aims for January 2019

Try 3 new recipes. I haven’t done this for a while (I think?) but I’m looking forward to trying 3 new recipes. I’ve already got some ideas and I’m hoping to write some new recipe posts too.

Meal plan all month. The standard for me now really! Hoping I can keep this up in 2019 as it has been a great money and time saver.

De-clutter 20 items. I’ll be looking at bras, as I can donate my old ones to charity, and probably raiding the toiletries stash too. Anything brand new, but unused for the last few months, will head off to the food bank as this is a lean time of year for many!

Financial aims for January 2019

Spend no more than £280 on groceries. I think this is quite realistic but who knows?! I do love to buy Daisy freefrom treats and they are SUPER pricey! I’m going to implement all my favourite tips. Look at shopping in Aldi some weeks to save money and cut back on the takeaways too!

Make some money from matched betting. Standard really. Hoping for £300+.

Add £190 to my Amazon account. This IS going to be a stretch. I want to earn enough Amazon vouchers to buy a new bean to cup coffee machine. This will allow me to replace my Tassimo and replace my environmental impact too. Yay!

Add £500+ to our car fund. At the end of 2018, we had already saved more than 1/3 of the money that we need. I’m hoping we can complete this by midyear and £500 will be a nice start for a lean month.

Online aims for January 2019

Schedule February posts. In full! I’ve got REALLY slack by not scheduling in advance lately. This means when I’m unwell, or something comes up unexpectedly, I don’t have any posts going out and I worry about my regular readers not seeing the usual content they are used to.

Earn an extra 10% from my favourite survey sites. I love sites like Populuslive, Pinecone Research and Prolific Academic. Not all of the websites have more surveys than I currently do but I’m going to try and visit Prolific Academic through the day and leave the tab open so I can scoop up new surveys as they arrive!

Re-purpose 3 old posts. I’m going to try and do at least 3 a month now from here on in. Eek!

Personal aims for January 2019

Donate a box of goodies to the food bank. This will be a combination of clearing out my cupboards, and toiletries, and pick up some free items from shopping apps.

Decide if we are going to have a 2019 bucket list. I’m sure I’ll get round to this soon but I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to share it or not yet. Some people get VERY fussy about the use of the term bucket list, despite the fact that any of us could drop down dead at any time!

Take a week off! We have another lovely holiday this month and I’m going to take the whole month off.

If you enjoyed this post I’d love it if you could pin it on Pinterest!

Ah, I wish I could get my head around meal planing – I have great intentions, but by the middle of the week I don'[t fancy what I’d planned 🙁 I’m going to try planning but not putting days to things, just coming up with more than a week of ideas and picking from the list

What about planning specific meals but not for specific days? So making sure you’ve got all the ingredients in for a chilli, lasagne or bolognese, and then deciding what you fancy on any given day?
