I cannot believe that we are already almost at August! Just one month left until the kids go back to school. Hooray! I’m writing this sitting in a leisure centre and never have I been more aware of just how loud children are. Even as I wear headphones and listen to music. Anyway, here is my post on my aims for July 2017 – the results!

Home aims for July 2017 – the results

Run the freezers down. Achieved. I’m sure I will be rapidly filling them back up though thanks to all the allotment produce. This month I froze blackberries that I picked and I know there will be lots more produce due soon.

Sell or donate 20 items. Achieved. I cleared out the hall shoe cupboard. A number of items from there were donated, sold or recycled. Also I cleared out Daisy’s clothes in size 12-18m and I’m sending some of those to a friend in need.

Keep on top of the chores master list. Achieved. I’ve really found the list useful this month. Lots of little jobs that usual get forgotten have been kept on top of nicely.

Make ice- cream. Failed. Whoops. I completely forgot that I wanted to do this until writing this up! Maybe next month?! Probably not though.

Financial aims for July 2017 – the results

Spend less than £150 on groceries. Achieved. This was relatively easy this month. I followed my own meal planning tips, I also used Shopmium. I used Tesco most of the time, to keep my spend low, and had two deliveries. Both times they couldn’t provide the chocolate I ordered – sad times.

Make £400+ from matched bettingAchieved. I had a great month with some HUGE wins! *Why not grab yourself a 7 day trial for just £1?

Add £150 to my Amazon account. Achieved. I basically spent it as fast as it came in. Promptly bought a number of items including a *new MacBook sleeve, *new changing bag and this *sticky back plastic vinyl that I am using as a photography backdrop.

Pay Daisy’s pennies in to the bank. Failed. I think the only bank that is in our town, and has a coin machine, I’ve just closed my account at. Not my best idea ever but I’ll sort something out! We did sort them out, so there are different piggy banks for copper and silver now. This is ideal for our next trip to Southend!

Online aims for July 2017 – the results

Hit 2,650 on Instagram. 550 on Pinterest . 7,500 on TwitterPartly achieved. I think I achieved it on Twitter but failed on the other two. My Instagram IS finally growing again, so that is nice. Also, I went over 500 on Pinterest – so not that far away! Please do give me a follow if you want to help me out!

Get my completed drafts to 60. Achieved. Just by the skin of my teeth! I’m really pleased that I’ve had so much more time to write this month. Tom is back to work and Daisy is now settled into nursery. I now have 1.5 days a week that are dedicated to writing, social media and other blog related things. This is working out perfectly (so far!)

Create pinnable images for 50 posts. Achieved. This was seriously boring. I’m going to switch to just doing 5 every Thursday afternoon now. Mostly because I find this mind numbing..!

Take part in 3 guest posts. Achieved. I’ve featured in LOTS of posts this month! I’ve also set up a reservoir on Social Oomph where I am sharing the posts of people who are featuring me. I’ve tried to go back and find some of the other posts but I’m a bit rubbish at this type of thing…! Hopefully not anymore!

Personal aims for July 2017 – the results

Read three books. Achieved. I also completed my monthly post about What I’m Reading again and it seems to be popular. I can see from my Amazon Affiliates that some people here have been buying some of the same books.

Have a me day. Achieved. Now that I have Tuesday morning AND all day Thursday free this is considerably easy. I have bene having more of a me afternoon on a Thursday, than a whole day. However, this is something to look forward to every week so I’m really grateful for that.

Arrange a special day out for Tom. Failed. I do have something in mind but thanks to the sheer amount of overtime that he is doing I haven’t been able to pin a date down just yet. I’ll be coming back to this one for sure!

Arrange to cross 2 items off our bucket listFailed. For the reason above…! Sigh.

Go to the allotment at least 6 times. Achieved. We’ve found lots more time for our allotment this month. Tom has been visiting before and after work sometimes too, which is nice.

Complete 2 random acts of kindness. Achieved. The second one I actually completed on the day of writing this. I’m really enjoying looking for opportunities and I’m really pleased with how much of a better person I’ve become because of this. I’m always looking out for ways that I can do something nice for someone else, whether I know them or not. I’d love to see more people doing this sort of thing!

Well, that is it. Another month over. Wow. Where do they go?! Daisy is now 16 months old and it is fair to say that life has changed so much since I started writing these. I really enjoy updating each month, and looking back on the past month. Now I’ll be looking ahead to my goals for August 2017 and I can’t believe that the year is going by so fast. Also, I know that I always say this but it is so true!

Well done on achieving lots of your goals this month ! I do the same thing every month and it really helps to keep me on track. I love your random acts of kindness idea, I did something anonymously last year for someone it really does make you feel good to give without expecting anything in return. Hope August is a super successful for you x
