Happy Halloween! It feels like just days since I was writing my aims for November. The month we were to move house. Now fast forward just 30 days and here we are, living in our own house, and I’m writing this post from the room that will become my office. I can’t believe it! Anyway, here it is my aims for October 2019 – the results!

Home aims for October 2019 – the results
Move into our house. Achieved. It went SO well! We were moved in by around 11am, which was fantastic. It then took a couple of weeks for the fish, turtle and some of the furniture to move over but we had the flat still and was paying rent, so this saved us some money on removals.
Give our flat back with no problems or fines. Achieved. We handed it back almost 3 weeks ago now. It was a little sad to say goodbye, but not much, as we had our new house waiting with all our belongings already in!
Meal plan all month after the first week of the month. Achieved. We’ve been eating really well and I have a new *multi-cooker that I am absolutely loving at the moment.
Get back into my cleaning routine after the first week. Achieved. Home is gradually getting cleaner and more organised, which is all I can ask for during a busy time with work for Tom & I.
Have internal doors fitted upstairs. Failed. However… we HAVE selected the doors we want, we have enough money to purchase them, but we just need to get a carpenter booked in for when we are back from our holiday next month.
Organise the pantry. Achieved. I could do with doing some more work but everything I want is in the pantry, and I just need to shuffle things around and perhaps buy a few more *Lock&Lock storage containers to keep it neat and tidy.
Financial aims for October 2019 – the results
Spend less than £300 on groceries. Failed. By £44.25. I think this is because I did 5 grocery shops during the last 30 days, but we’ve also got 5-6 more days food, at least, so I’m hoping next month can be a £250 month to make up for it.
Don’t overspend on our October moving-related expenses budget. Achieved. We had a budget of £3,000 for a number of things related to moving including flooring upstairs, removals, spaying our cat, microchips for both cats, and numerous other things. We came in at £2,984.76 and I’m really pleased as we actually managed to do more with the money than we thought we would.
Add £100 to my Amazon account, and use it for new house items as needed! Achieved. We’ve used this for lots of items, some of which I’ve returned because of issues and so we’ve got some more credit for a few bits already in November.
Make another Kiva donation. Achieved.
Keep up with the matched betting. Achieved. I have had a LOT less time but have made some money towards the fitting of our internal doors which is a great help.
Online aims for October 2019 – the results
Write new content for Katykicker that isn’t Living Arrows, my weekly meal plan or my monthly aims and goals! Achieved. Most of this content has been advertorial content but I’ve been really pleased with what I’ve created, which is the main thing.
Boost internal links by 500. Achieved. As this helps to make my website more user-friendly I’m really pleased to have found time for this.
Update 5 old posts. Achieved. I’ve made some changes to some of my most popular websites.
Create pinnable images for top 10 most popular posts. Failed. I actually forgot about this!
Re-vamp Christmas content for Christmas 2019. Failed. I’m getting short on time for this now so may have to just scrap it entirely. I’m really struggling with finding enough hours in the day for everything, so I’m not going to give myself to much of a hard time.
Personal aims for October 2019 – the results
Get a better skincare routine. Achieved. Only just in the last few days. I’ve unpacked all of my toiletries now and forgot just how many lovely products I have. I’ve been making time twice a day, usually when I’ve brushed my teeth, to give my face some TLC.
Feel organised with my life by the end of October. Achieved. Again, only just in the last few days. I’m winding work down ready for a week off work and I’m really excited about it. I can’t wait for some time with my family just to relax and enjoy swimming, forest walks and fresh air every day.
So there you have it! 14 aims achieved, 4 failed. I think that is pretty good going for the month we moved house! In November I am hoping to set 20 aims and complete them all!
