Hello! Happy end of the month. Woohoo. Another month closer to 2020 being over! I’ve been wishing the time away lately, especially as we’re expecting a baby in 2021! Anyway, this is my aims for September 2020 results post – hope you enjoy reading what I’ve been up to!

Home aims for September 2020 – the results
Meal plan all month. Achieved. It was a bit of a struggle this month but I’m really proud of achieving this as it has definitely saved us a load of money. The last weeks shop of the month was just over £30, which is SO much cheaper than normal for us!
Try 3 new recipes. Achieved. I’ve been using some of my lovely cookbooks including this *easy pressure cooker favourite cookbook and this *mince cookbook.
Try 2 new slow cooker recipes. Achieved. I got a few cookbooks out from the library to give me some more inspiration and have really enjoyed it! I’m loving trying lots of new recipes lately that aren’t my own! It is great to just throw things in the slow cooker and have a hot, delicious meal at the end of the day. The smell is a little hard to live with at the moment as I have lots of sickness but it helps the family day run a lot smoother!
Use my *breadmaker at least 4 times. Failed. I completely forgot about this to be honest! Must try better in October!
Complete TeamTomm each day in September. Achieved. I’ve had a lot of help from Thomas this month. He’s been on it more than me, as I’ve been tired, and home is still looking and smelling great. I feel really happy that we use this cleaning routine as it really does help us know exactly what we should be doing at any given time!
Spend at least 10 hours on DIY related jobs this month. Failed. I’ve put the DIY on hold at the moment as I can’t use primer, my sander or gloss either and most of the jobs involve that now! I hope to do some paint touch ups soon though before my belly grows too big to sit on the floor!
Financial aims for September 2020 – the results
Achieve at least 2 hours matched betting each week. Achieved. I found this easier this month than previous months, possibly because I had a reminder on my phone each day to do at least 15 minutes! I have saved most of the profit in my 2021 project pot, which is growing very healthy now!
Add £100 of Amazon vouchers to my account. Achieved. I actually managed almost £100 just from my TopCashBack account this month! Also there have been some survey payments from websites like Swagbucks and Opinium Research. I’m trying to save the vouchers for Christmas gifts and treats now!
Spend £300 or less on groceries. Achieved. We spent £16.69 on Hello Fresh (had some credit), £2.50 on *Mindful Chef (same), £125.73 in Lidl and £122.76 in Tesco for a total of £267.68. I’m really pleased with this and hoping to do similar in October!
Add £200 to my round-up pot. Achieved. Christmas 2020 is fully funded and I’m halfway to my 2021 project that I’m saving for too. I’ll tell you a little more about that in the New Year!
Online aims for September 2020 – the results
Update 15 old posts and re-share. Achieved. Mostly Christmas posts to be honest! Nice and easy ones to update, but also seasonal so now is a great time to get updating those.
Start on Christmas related work. Achieved. I’ve got some gift guides I’ll be sharing in November and a few great toy reviews too. I’ve made great progress this week taking lots of photographs, booking in set days to work on set projects and just generally being more organised with my KickerList.
Write up 3 new recipes. Achieved. I’ll be sharing them very soon!
Complete 5 random acts of kindness. Achieved. I love doing this, it really helps to lift my spirits and mood on a glum day.
Personal aims for September 2020 – the results
Walk 8k steps every single day. Failed. We had to quarantine at home for several days and with pregnancy tiredness I just wasn’t really feeling the walking at home as much! I’ve done well, just not quite 8k every single day!
Read 2 books. Achieved. I’ve been making more time to read and relax most days. I’m really enjoying reading a wide variety of books actually. The library is back open so I’ve been making the most of it!
Exercise at least 4 times a week all month. Failed. Tiredness kicked my backside this month! I’m not going to set this goal in October, and instead just going to work on exercising when I feel well enough.
There you have it! A bit of a mixed bag. However, I am growing a baby, which requires some of my energy, and I’m really pleased with what I have achieved, especially in the final week of September! Have a lovely October whatever you’re aiming for and I’ll be sharing my monthly aims tomorrow.
