Wow – where did May go? Almost halfway through the year already. My husband turned 30 this month and I can’t believe we’ve been together for almost 10 years now! Every month, when I look back across my aims, I can’t quite believe the direction that my life is taking. I am so happy, and grateful, and writing these monthly aims and aims results posts just reminds me how much! I love a little does of gratitude and life is really going pretty well at the moment! Anyway, here is my post on my aims for May 2017 – the results!

Home aims for May 2017 – the results
Meal plan the entire month. Achieved. We ate out twice, and had one takeaway. This was great for us, especially as my husband turned 30. We enjoyed an afternoon tea too but that helped us *get discounted theatre tickets so was basically a money maker!
Try 3 new recipes. Achieved. A new cocktail, a new slow cooker dish and I tried a new stuffing recipe. There were other things but those are the ones that come to mind right away.
Make sorbet / ice cream for Daisy. Failed. The reason I failed is that Alpro brought out a new ice cream made with no dairy, no soya and none of the other things Daisy can’t have. WINNING! I was so happy to see this that I promptly bought it from Waitrose and forgot all about making ice cream! Until I read this.
De-clutter books & DVDs. Achieved. We used Ziffit and we made a pretty penny! I went through TopCashBack and got an extra 10% on top of the £50 we made.
Change photos in hall. Failed. Oops. Maybe next month?!
Financial aims for May 2017 – the results
Spend less than £150 on groceries. Achieved. I managed this as I won £100 for a blog post I wrote a month or two back. I used this for two large Waitrose shops. Then I visited our local greengrocer and came in significantly under the £150. I was chuffed. I think I’ll do this again next month!
Make £400+ from matched betting. Achieved. Smashed this. I don’t want to share the amount but I won a great amount.
Put back £500 of the money I used for my tax bill. Achieved. Done. Actually put back all of the money that I used. Must do better at saving this tax year! Or not. Whatever.
Add £100 to my Amazon account. Achieved. Then I promptly spent it all on my husband, Daisy and our household. I’ve got a *new Tassimo machine so I got some espresso pods for it. Yay! I turned them in to iced coffee. You don’t need a Tassimo to make iced coffee – I’ve used my Nutribullet for iced coffee in the past.
Online aims for May 2017 – the results
Boost affiliate income by 10%. Achieved. I focused on two networks. I saw a rise of 22.5% (ish) on one, and on the other, I saw a rise of 8%. Great results. I’m really happy about this. Want to make affiliate income? I wrote a post about affiliate marketing that might help!
Schedule some posts for June & July. Achieved. I’ve written a few posts throughout the month that will go out in the next two months. Feeling like I’m really getting ahead all the time now and it is going well this blogging lark.
Personal aims for May 2017 – the results
Lose 6lbs. Achieved. Smashed this. Lost 8lbs at the start of the month! Then promptly stayed the same all month. Nevermind. Loss is a loss. Long way to go but I’m not rushing.
Read a book. Achieved. Managed this. By the skin of my teeth. The book that I was reading was called *Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. I’ve picked up some good pointers already. Well worth the money for me!
Get lots of planting done at our allotment. Achieved. We’ve not had as much time as I would have liked. However, despite this we have planted carrots, peas, runner beans, broccoli, sweetcorn, a rose bush, parsnips (for airfryer parsnips) and a few other bits. Exciting times! I love watching everything grow during the hotter months.
