This air fryer tikka chicken breast is super simple and the perfect roll filling for a hot lunch during Winter! It’s also ideal as the basis of a chicken tikka kebab with onions and peppers.

I love using my air fryer. It’s super simple to cook up just about anything, it saves time versus using the oven and I can make a hot lunch in next to no time. I love cooking up chicken breasts in my air fryer, as we’re big fan of air fryer chicken recipes.

Method for making chicken tikka in the air fryer

Coat your chicken breasts in 1/4 tablespoon of olive oil mixed with the 2 tablespoons of Tikka paste.

Oiled air fryer basket

Spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent the chicken breasts from sticking.

Cook at 180C (360F) for 8-9 minutes.

Turn the chicken breasts over and then cook for a further 8-9 minutes. Note: times will vary depending on breast sizes. If you’re using chicken breast chunks you’ll want to cook for nearer to 5-6 minutes each side before checking.

Check the internal temperature is at least 74C (165F) before serving.

I wrapped my air fryer tikka chicken breast in a little foil and rested them for a couple of minutes so that the breasts would be juicy. They really were!

Serve in a soft white flour roll, tortilla wrap or with air fryer chips! You can even make this recipe into chicken tikka kebabs with the addition of onions and peppers for a tasty meal served over rice. I love to enjoy this with air fryer bread rolls or no yeast flatbreads too.

We love air fryer chicken kebabs also!
