For me, a roast dinner is made all the more special by the addition of parsnips and other ‘special’ vegetables. I love to spend time making delicious dishes for my roast dinner.
These airfryer parsnips, that are honey glazed, are a real treat and so well with just about any type of roast dinner!

Ingredients for airfryer parsnips
250g parsnips
15ml honey
Salt & pepper to taste
Method for airfryer parsnips
Wash and peel your parsnips.

Slice them lengthways into 4 or 6 pieces, depending on the size and length of parsnips.
Drizzle over the honey.
This is where you add your seasoning – something I’ve forgotten in these photos!

Place your parsnips in your airfryer. I’ve got a new one, with a fancy metal tray, so I laid them out as evenly as possible.

Cook at 200C for approximately 18 minutes. You’ll want to start checking them from 15 minutes onwards.
Mine caught on the edges a little, as I wasn’t paying attention – as you can probably see. However, I love them like this and they were delicious. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

There you have it! If you want you can parboil them first, and this will reduce the cooking time slightly. It may also make the insides even fluffier.
The cooking time of these airfryer parsnips may vary, depending on the size and efficiency of your airfryer.
How to cook parsnips:
I personally like to parboil them, for around 6 minutes in boiling water. Then I roast for around 25-30 minutes in the oven or 18-20 minutes in the air fryer.
Something to note about air fryer recipes is that all air fryers have different sizes, depths and as such the cooking times can vary. All air fryer recipes on this website are intended as a guide, and not a guarantee that the timings will be perfect. Enjoy!

I had never had parsnips before and when I decided to try them they were going into my ninja foodi xl grill, of that I was sure.
I did carrots and parsnips so at least I’d have the carrots if I wasn’t happy with the parsnips.
Went as basic as basic gets. Peeled and trimmed all as equally as possible. Gave a light coating of avocado oil and some sea salt and fresh cracked pepper with a smidge of cayenne.
O to the M to the G. Didn’t even need any other adds, absolutely delicious and perfect. Can’t believe I’ve been deprived of parsnips for over half a century!!
Excited now to try them with some different glazes to complement different mains. Your recipe is top of the list.

I love parsnips. I could quite happily eat a plate of them with gravy. This sounds like a great way to make them x
