Airfryer sweet potato fries – tasty and low calorie!

I’m a real fan of cooking food from scratch. Firstly, it is usually cheaper. Secondly it is usually healthier too. These are a winning combination for me and often what motivate me to get off my backside and make something tasty for dinner. While getting a takeaway is a nice treat I don’t always want to feed my family unhealthy food and this is where my airfryer sweet potato fries come in. They are a nice compromise between fried chips and being healthier. Which I’m often trying to be these days. My airfryer sweet potato fries take just a few minutes to prepare and they are pretty tasty too.

My dream living room

As my regular readers will know I am looking to move in to my own home in around 18-24 months. I’m really excited for the next chapter in our lives and hoping that one day we have a beautiful living room. At present we have a large living room which is open plan with our kitchen. While this isn’t that bad it would be better if we had a separate living room. So that is probably the first part of my dream living room!

This is probably the opposite of my dream living room! I want mine to be light and more modern looking.

Why I HATE hearing ‘you are always ill’

For around 6 weeks recently, my daughter and I were almost constantly ill. There was hand, foot & mouth. Yes, adults too can get that. Nice. Then I had tonsillitis. My daughter had some allergy flare ups. Then I had a viral rash, which looked like measles initially. We then had around 10 days where my daughter was projectile vomiting 3-5 times a day. I’m sure there have been other things along the way that I’m now choosing not to remember. Basically the last month or two has been draining. Really draining. We’ve had some stress going on in our personal life, none of which I’ve shared online other than with a select few. Anyway, one thing that I’ve almost consistently noticed in that same period is people who make annoying comments. Ones like ‘you are always ill’.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 23rd June

This week has been a wonderful one. HUGELY productive which is always great isn’t it! I’ve wrote lots of posts, had lots of time with my family and the allotment is looking good. I’m really pleased with how well our life is going at the moment. I’m so grateful for what we have and really loving the life that we live. This week was a lovely one, and yesterday it was the anniversary of my Father’s passing. One year already. Life goes by so fast doesn’t it? Anyway, not one to mope I worked hard all day to keep my mind occupied. We are off to Southend for the day today!
