Happy 2018! I can’t believe 2017 is over already. I always say that the years/time flies by but it really does. My daughter will be two in just 13 weeks and I can’t believe that either..! How can I have a toddler already?! Anyway, in 2017 I set myself some blogging goals. I performed quite average to be honest, failing at ALL of my social media aims. However, I did achieve all of the other aims so I’m hoping that this year I can just continue doing what I love while having an aim in mind for a number of areas. Here are my blogging goals for 2018 and what I hope to achieve!

Social media aims

This year I want to continue doing what I love – being social. I love chatting with people on Twitter, sharing images on Instagram and generally just enjoying social media. I’m not immune to the odd argument or seeing the odd rude person, but I utilise the block/mute features on Twitter with ease! I love being able to speak to my readers, see what I can do to help them and sharing my life with people who are always lovely. There are my social media blogging goals for 2018:

I want to boost my Twitter to 15,000 followers. This should be achievable, based on my growth for 2017. I love Twitter and don’t want to play the follow/unfollow game or post controversial tweets just to try and boost my own numbers.

Also, I want to boost my Facebook to 6,500 likes. I gained around 500 in 2017, maybe slightly more, which isn’t great. I want to double this if I can! Facebook is a bit of an odd one for me. Sometimes lots of interaction, often next to none! I DO get a lot of traffic from my Facebook page though so that is great!

I want to boost my Instagram to 10,000 followers. I already know that this is going to be unrealistic to be honest. However, what is the point of an aim if not to make me stretch myself?

Blogging aims

Boost my DA to 40. I’m already at 38-39 but would love to tip over the 40 mark! I’m going to continue commenting on blogs I love, taking part in linkies and doing the things I genuinely enjoy – like featuring in crowdsourced posts.

Hit 1000 blog posts. This should be easy enough however I have been removing old unhelpful content and posts for websites that I know longer use myself. So I may go down a few before I come back up again!

Double my traffic. Again. This would be amazing! I’m going to continue trying to write content that people find interesting and helpful. I don’t have any great plans to spend money on advertising or anything else. I just want to help others and love what I do!

Update all my old posts + add pinnable images. I’ve still got a few hundred posts to do so this is quite the job…!

So there you have it… my blogging goals for 2018. I hope that this year will be another great one for my family, my blog and my finances. I’m really excited for the year as I’ve already got my entire year of content loosely planned out. Feeling really motivated and truly loving my blog too!
