Christmas for me is about so many things. Firstly it is about family. Spending time together, eating, drinking and being merry and typically what I like. I want my family to have a great relaxing time together. For me having good food is a part of this. I’m not necessarily wanting to spend £100s on food at Christmas time, as per the rest of the year. Today I am sharing with you some fantastic Christmas cookies.
Melting snowman biscuits – Super easy and great fun. Also, if you are rubbish at crafts these are ideal for you!
Glazed candy cane cookies – These look great and are surprisingly easy to make – if a little time consuming.
Classic Christmas Sugar Cookie Cutouts – These are traditional looking Christmas cookies. These are tasty and easy to make too.
These eggless cashew and pistachio cookies offer something a little different and are ideal if you’re catering to allergies this Christmas.
Christmas cookies are a great way to make a nice treat for friends and family without breaking the bank. You could package some Christmas cookies up in a *nice jar, if you want to make it look a little special. You could even consider making a jar that contains all of the mixture for people to make cookies themselves.
If you don’t want to spend a lot then you could make these cookies and just use some red and green M&Ms to make them look festive. You could use some little *Christmas cellophane bags for your Christmas cookies too.
Baking at Christmas time need not be complicated. I am partial to a long winded bake, or two, but sometimes you just can’t be bothered! Cookies are a bake that will make your home smell delicious, they take just minutes to prepare and their cooking time is minimal too. I love offering cookies to guests when they come and baking always get me in the festive mood. You could even freeze cookie dough, ready for when people pop by unexpectedly.
I hope you enjoy your Christmas – whatever Christmas cookies you bake!
