Homemade oat biscuits – similar to Hobnobs!

I’m a bit of a lover of a sweet treat after tea. As my lovely husband and I are trying to lose weight these days we don’t have many treats at home now. Typically I think if we don’t have them we won’t eat them. Only on the rare occasions do I like to push the boat out and bake us a nice treat. Recently I made these delicious homemade oat biscuits. They take just 5 minutes to knock up and just 10 minutes in the oven – woohoo! This oat biscuits recipe is really simple and I hope you enjoy it!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #114 Meal Plan

Hello, happy Friday! I hope that the week has been a good one for you. It’s been good here. Lots achieved and this weekend we get our new dog. Yay! I’m really excited now there is just one day to go. Eek!

Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food. I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #113 Meal Plan

Hello, happy Friday! I hope your week has gone well. I’m looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend with Daisy. I’m hoping to get out for a few walks, start a new puzzle that I treated myself to and just generally relax more. It has been a very busy but productive week.

This week I’m keeping the budget low again, and using a few Simply Cook recipes this week. *Why not sign up and grab yourself a box for £1? < This is a subscription service so be sure to cancel if you don’t want it to auto-renew. I have also arranged a Click & Collect shop for Monday which Tom will collect on his way home from work. At the moment lots of Tesco stores have free click & collect so I’m taking advantage of this!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #112 Meal Plan

Hello! Happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one! We’ve got LOTS going on at home at the moment as we’re redecorating our kitchen. This means that I’m not sure if the meal plan I’m making is realistic, but I’m giving it a go anyway!

Having as little food waste as possible is really important to me. We try our best to make things stretch. We still have so many house jobs to pay for. I will also be visiting Lidl to try and keep my grocery spends low. Daisy has a party on Sunday so I’ll be popping in for the final hour while Tom sits with her at the party! Looking forward to having a browse on my own, as I’ve always had Daisy with me lately!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #111 Meal Plan

Hello! Happy Friday! Happy Valentine’s Day… What a week we have had! We have had a leak in our home, last weekend during the storm, thankfully not huge but a bit of a pain anyway! Still, we’ve made it through the week, got lots of house jobs ticked off the list and I’m feeling great. I’ve been on my new high dose Vitamin D for almost 2 weeks and I can really feel the difference already!
