Slow cooker chicken mushroom pie filling recipe

I have a few health problems, which means there are days when I’m at home in agony. I still want to make a dinner for my family, but don’t always have lots of effort to put in. Today I want to share with you one of my easiest recipes ever! You can use leftover wine, if you’re the type of person who has leftover wine, or stock, if you’re not. It’s really an absolute doddle and you can have this slow cooker chicken mushroom pie filling in your slow cooker in minutes.

Easy slow cooker chicken casserole recipe

When the colder nights draw in there is nothing I love more than coming home to a delicious slow cooker dinner. Being able to set my slow cooker in the morning, in just minutes, makes me feel productive and organised for the day ahead. Coming home, from work or play, to a hot dinner makes for a more relaxing day. It takes just 5-10 minutes to get this in your slow cooker pot – even less if you skip the browning steps. This easy slow cooker chicken casserole recipe can cook on low all day, or even overnight, or can be cooked on high in just a few hours, for those days when you don’t have time. If you want to get started right away with my easy slow cooker chicken casserole recipe then skip to the end of this post for the full recipe card.

Slow cooker chorizo loaded potatoes

Popping dinner in the slow cooker is so convenient for my family. At times I find that I forget about side dishes or vegetables until the last minute. Now I have a triple slow cooker I’ve been looking for new side dishes. These slow cooker chorizo loaded potatoes take just a few minutes to prepare and cook themselves in the slow cooker. This is ideal for serving alongside multiple dishes, or as a side dish for a BBQ.

A week of super easy dinners

I’m a real fan of a lazy dinner. I love to utilise my slow cooker where possible. Often I don’t want to spend more than 10-15 minutes preparing dinner, but I still want to serve my family something tasty. For me, I love to be able to put dinner on in the morning and then come back, at the end of a day of work, and find that dinner is ready to serve. This is so convenient, helps us avoid the takeaway and saves us money too. This week of super easy dinners is going to be a mixture of slow cooker dinners (that are still easy to make without a slow cooker) and fast dinners.
