AD. We were gifted the items within this gift guide in exchange for coverage. Since becoming a parent it is fair to say that my life priorities have changed. Now I love spending evenings at home, enjoying time with family and a nice treat or two in the evenings. Christmas gifts for parents is a category I am often shopping in, as so many of the people in our family are parents to small children now. I’ve gathered together some of my favourite Christmas gifts for parents from this year for this gift guide. Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration for the overworked people in your life.
Christmas is a time for enjoying festivities together. For me this means a gathering at home with tea & biscuits in the daytime or perhaps a late night snack after watching carol singers, visiting a festive market or just a day watching the little ones playing with their presents. This Biscuiteers Lapland Luxe Biscuit Tin is absolutely lovely for a family gathering. These hand-iced biscuits are a real luxury but absolutely delicious as a treat over the festive period. Why not take them with you when you visit the busy parents in your life?
Also, if you have little ones this Biscuiteers DIY Gingerbread House is absolutely fantastic fun and comes with everything needed to have a lovely afternoon decorating this while watching a Christmas film. Biscuiteers have a wonderful range of Christmas gifts too!
Over the festive period lots of us have a nice burst of free time. Time to spend with our families, time to watch endless hours of TV, time for long walks and time for hobbies too. Lots of parents want to take their child to explore the world and this personalised world map is the perfect gift for those people. You can customise the map, with a map and a family name too and it comes in a range of finishes too.
Often when I ask fellow parents what they want for Christmas they will say nothing. They’re happy just to get to see their little ones enjoying Christmas and having time together. I love to provide nice drinks and snacks, especially for parents of younger children as the opportunity to sit and unwind with a luxurious drink and snack seems to be few and far between. This hot chocolate stacking tin from Whittard is a wonderful luxurious gift and the range of flavours should mean this is a real winner. Over the festive period it is basically the law to have lots of delicious treats on hand. Next time you stop in to visit someone why not take these delicious all butter Christmas Pudding biscuits?
As a parent myself I know that what many of us want is just to feel organised. A system to keep track of all the family activities. Christmas time, for me, is about sitting around with family. In our family we love a nice gathering, good food and not spending a fortune on eating out. The *Tru Bamboo cheeseboard is a great gift for loved ones, or even for yourself to use over the festive season. The board has a handy drawer underneath which contacts cheese knives made from durable bamboo that looks stunning and feels high quality too.
When preparing your festive cheeseboard these *Tru Bamboo porcelain cheese markers add a fantastic final touch. You can label the cheeses for your guests and these can be reused throughout the year for a variety of purposes.
No cheeseboard would be complete without a delicious glass of wine as far as I’m concerned. We have a beautiful set of crystal glasses, that we got as a wedding gift back in 2011 and still love using regularly. This *Architec Air Wine Glass Drying Rack is great for helping air dry wine glasses without drips or streaks spoiling their finish. I love that this can be wiped down with a damp cloth and then disassembles when not using. This means I can tuck it in the cupboard next to my wine glasses and it takes up minimal space.
