Daali – earn cashback when you shop online or in store (AD – Referral)

Affiliate links in this post will be clearly marked with a *. Clicking one of these links means I earn a discount or receive payment.

Daali helps you earn cashback (points!), when you shop with your favourite brands (including in store!), that then can be redeemed for gift vouchers. For free!

There are lots of ways to earn cashback these days. You can use websites like *TopCashBack and *Quidco, but these mostly require you to remember to visit the website before making a purchase.

You can also use browser add ons, such as *Honey, which will do some of the work for you, and may even help you bag yourself a discount too, which is handy.

Another way to earn cashback is passively, via apps such as Daali and Airtime Rewards. These apps are ones you download, join for free, and then you give read only access to your bank account, usually every 90 days. This access allows you to earn cashback without any thought really at all!

Buying Christmas presents, booking holidays and travel, sending flowers to loved ones and even signing up for free trials and getting myself great special offers are just some of the ways that I’ve made myself some gift vouchers thanks to Daali.

How does Daali work?

Daali is a rewards app, which is free to download, that allows you to earn points (passive cashback basically!) when you shop with a variety of retailers.

You will receive points for your purchases, typically 0.5-1 (worth 0.25-0.5p) of points per £1 spent, made using your registered debit or credit card, which is tracked automatically and with no further effort required from you.

All you need to do is download the Daali app, from the app store, and use my referral code YOPND to get started. You will receive 200 points (worth £1) when you sign up using my code, as will I!

Then you’ll need to add a UK registered Visa or Mastercard. You can add multiple cards, so be sure to add all the cards you may use to maximise your cashback. Some of the accounts you can use include Starling, Revolut, HSBC, Barclays, Santander, Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, RBS, Natwest, First Direct, M&S and many more.

Personally I have registered our joint credit card, my own credit card and my debit cards. This way any purchases that I make, either for myself or for family members I sometimes help, have a chance to earn me a little extra cashback.

What is the minimum reward?

Points are exchanged for gift cards, and the minimum so far I’ve been able to exchange is for a £10, both Amazon and Costa. These points can be redeemed only when the gift cards are in stock, and sometimes they are all sold out so I have to wait to make a redemption which is a little frustrating!

The minimum amount that you can cashback is £10. This can be redeemed against your phone bill or withdrawn to one of your registered Visa or Mastercards.

Personally I will use my rewards against my phone bill, as this feels like a real difference to my outgoings on the months I have £10 to withdraw.

Is Daali safe?

Daali access your data via open banking, which is a secure way to give read-only access to your transactional data to third parties. This is secure and FCA regulated.

How much can you earn?

This won’t make you rich, of course, and it is based on the amount of shopping that you do. You can earn some cashback, both in store and online, so the amounts do add up. Earnings typically vary from 0.5% upwards, which does add up if the retailers are ones that you use regularly!

The current brands to earn cashback from including Uber, Just Eat, Tesco, Amazon, Tesco, McDonalds, Co-Op and IKEA.

Many of the brands on Daali are actually fairly cheap to shop with, such as Lidl, which makes a really nice change from some of the other cashback apps I have tried in the past where you seem to have to shop with brands designed for people on higher budgets than myself.

How long does it take to receive the points?

Transactions can take from 5-7 working days to track, and if this period of time has passed then you can raise a ticket for missing cashback if required.

I find that typically transactions show up after 2-3 working days, rarely longer.

Be sure to combine cashback where you can:

As you’re able to shop online with some retailers you can combine a cashback debit or credit card (ensure you pay any credit card off in full when due of course), with a website such as *TopCashBack or *Quidco and then earn from Airtime Rewards too.

One example is I recently helped a relative with a shopping order. I was able to use a discount code and earn cashback via TopCashBack AND earn some points from Daali too.

My favourite retailers presently on Daali are:

Amazon, Tesco, Uber, Ikea, McDonalds, Co-Op, Zara, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Lidl, H&M, Just Eat.

Daali Promo Code 2022:

If you’ve never joined Daali and are looking to sign up then please do download the app and use my code: yopnd . You’ll receive £1 of points, as will I.

Additional tips for using Daali:

Be sure to click the profile icon daily, as you can watch two adverts and complete two Daali daily spins for points. You can win from 2 points to 250 points, though the most I’ve won so far is 50 points (worth 25p). Not bad for a minute of time though!

Always make sure to check if you can double up on cashback when shopping online. Also, be sure to look for retailer loyalty/reward schemes too, such as Costa Coffee!
