Well I can’t believe it. Just one month until my little tiny girl is one year old! Daisy was only 5lb 13oz when she was born, which is just so hard to believe now. She is so strong, confident and is zooming around our home too. I can’t believe where the last eleven months have gone really. Daisy is eleven months old already and once again another month has flown by!
Daisy is eleven months old
Weight at eleven months old
Daisy now weighs more than 22lb. She is on the 95-98th centiles for her weight AND height now! This is amazing and I’m so proud of how well she is growing. Daisy loves eating but she also still loves her prescription milk. We had our 10 month health check recently took and this went great. The health visitor was really happy with all of Daisy’s movements and her milestones that she has reached. We left feeling really proud and happy that she is growing well and developing fine too.
Health at eleven months old
Daisy has not had a great month! She fell out of the bath tub and hit her face. That was a pretty rubbish day! We had to visit A&E for a check-up and she was alright, just bruised. Her teeth had grazed her top lip too so she was bleeding which wasn’t great for me to witness. It was a bit of a scary hour and our lovely friends came over from next door when I shouted for them. I was really grateful to them and they accompanied us to the hospital which was nice of them too.
Sleep at eleven months old
Our bedtime routine was out of whack for almost two weeks of the last month. We went on holiday and Daisy stayed awake until 11:30pm at night. Oops. Anyway, we are back on track now and by sticking to our bedtime routine, albeit later than normal, we’ve been able to keep on track. Daisy is back to going to sleep at 6-6:30pm and sleeping through – thank goodness. It was awful to go back to being tired all of the time and it made me realise we definitely don’t want another baby yet!
Daisy is eleven months old – this is what she has been loving this month!
Daisy’s favourite toys this month have been:
Daisy has been loving this keyboard! She even recorded a cute video for my Facebook page using it. This has been a favourite for a few months now!
Daisy is still loving this walker. The front of the walker is her favourite and she loves the little plastic telephone in particular.
This is one of my favourite toys which means Daisy and I play with it lots. I bought this months ago for Christmas and I was so excited for Daisy to play with it. This month Daisy has been playing with the shapes that slot together and the Ninky Nonk part in particular.
A bead maze is a great way for a little one to learn and Daisy seems to love hers. She also loves sucking on the string like a piece of spaghetti – very comical!
I know all of the songs for this. I’m not kidding. Daisy has learned now how the record function works. She will hit the record button and the look around for me to say something. Each time I respond with a little sentence and it turns it into an auto tuned funny song.
I think this is Daisy’s favourite toy ever! She plays with this every single night, at bath time, and it has been a firm favourite since she was really small. I’ve removed the hoopla pieces that come with it, as they are for 18m+ but I can’t wait to see her using those too.
The Jumperoo has come back in to popularity now for the second month. At home we use our East Coast Nursery Walker, however, at Grandma’s house we use the Jumperoo. Daisy loves it and still has great fun in it – even if she is getting a little on the tall side now!
Dislikes at eleven months old
Being told no is still her biggest dislike. She is now learning to do whatever you’re saying to slowly, more quieter or less obviously. For example when she was slapping me and I said no she took her arm away and then she began to do it lighter. This is pretty funny!
At eleven months old the newest milestones are:
Learning what no & yes mean (and saying them!)
Knowing her own name and saying it over and over, like some sort of narcissist. ‘Daisyyyyyy!’
Standing for long periods of time (ready for walking!)
Saying ‘I love you’ (albeit not quite accurately but I’m taking it!)
Also she is now saying ‘hi’
Saying ‘Izzy’ to both of our cats (Jasmine doesn’t seem to mind!)
Being strong enough to open all of the cupboards and drawers. Thank goodness for *magnet locks!
Falling out of the bath… That was pretty memorable once we got over the trip to A&E!
This is what we have been up to in the past month:
We found this huge slide at the Paradise Wildlife Park. Daisy and Daddy climbed up all the stairs together and came halfway down. Daddy let Daisy go halfway down by herself and while my heart was in my mouth she absolutely loved it! We had such a fun day and I can’t wait for our next adventure together.
We had a great time at the Paradise Wildlife Park. You can read our review here.
The devil – is that you?! Some days I think yes…! Daisy is down to 1 nap today and rejecting half her bottles too. We went swimming, Daisy swam underwater through a hoop – so amazing!! Anyway she’s asleep now so I can forgive the lack of bottles and naps! Had a drink, got some work done and prepping for our holiday next week. Life is good! Happy hump day!
Daisy is still loving her Water Babies swimming lessons in Harlow. So am I!
My beautiful girl has been a bit under the weather lately. This means sleep has been rare. I’ve had a flare up overnight and felt really shivery and unwell. My wonderful Mum took Daisy at 6:30am so I could sleep in. I’m now about to have a nice soak in the tub before she comes home and I can’t wait to see her. I’m feeling better and my flare up is ending – thank goodness!
Daisy and I have had a bad couple of weeks with colds and minor bugs. We are getting through it now though so that is something!
We went off on holiday!
This is Daisy on holiday and on the 98th centile she is incredibly tall now!
Daisy has turned a corner now and is rarely upset for no reason. It’s lovely!
This is Daisy… after her trip to A&E. When they told us recently that Daisy was taller than average recently I was like yeah, whatever. Anyway, she is! So tall that she decided to lean over today and fell right out the bath tub. On to her neck and head. She bit her lip, bruised her cheek and then the bleeding started. She’s ok now but it was a stressful evening. Her swelling is going down but the bruising is coming out. Thank goodness for lovely neighbours who came to help when I shouted for them (literally!) and helped keep me calm until Tom arrived home from work.
Daisy fell out of the bath and we had our first trip to A&E for an accident!
We got a whole weekend off together and it was lovely.
Here is another photo from our weekend off. (I didn’t even work!)
My lovely little family!
This month has been filled with ups and downs. Daisy has been teething a lot and her sleep was awful for part of this month. However, we enjoyed a lovely family holiday. Daisy was able to spend time with her cousins and it was a great week together. We have been able to start getting back down the allotment now which is great fun too! The work is hard but we enjoy the fresh air and a chance to disconnect from devices for the day too is always nice.
Daisy is changing so fast now and it is hard to believe she is eleven months old. Her hair is growing in thick and fast and it is starting to go lighter too. Daisy is learning so much now.
