Living in Essex means that we are really fortunate to have LOTS of great activities and venues to visit on our doorstep. Half-term is approaching and today I want to share with you some great days out in Hertfordshire.

Tea with the tigers - Daisy having a walk at Paradise Wildlife Park

Paradise Wildlife Park Review 5

For us, a great day out is always a trip to the zoo. We recently visited Paradise Wildlife Park and we’ve been a few times in the past too. Paradise Wildlife Park is located in Broxbourne and this half-term they have 10% off when you book your tickets online. They have a wide range of animals including tapir, camels, lions and even a white tiger.

This time around we filmed a video so you can see how our day went:

The Warner Bros Studio Tour is a fantastic day out for fans of Harry Potter. Tickets must be purchased in advance for this day out in Hertfordshire but children aged 4 and under can visit for free.

Days Out in Hertfordshire - Gravity Force St Albans I Always Believed In Futures

Gravity Force St Albans is a great place to take your children this half-term if you want them to burn off some energy. You can book tickets online and this is a pretty cheap, fun day out. They even have a great cafe for parents to observe from above with a nice bit of food.

Days Out In Hertfordshire - Willows Farm I Always Believed In Futures

Willow’s Farm is a BIG hit with fellow parents wanting to have days out in Hertfordshire. There are a vast array of animals and activities for little ones and under 2s can visit for free. If you book your tickets in advance for half-term you can save yourself a few £s per ticket. Be sure to check out the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground while there too.

Days Out In Hertfordshire - Gobions Wood - Living Life Our Way

If you are looking for a super cheap day out then visit Gobion’s Wood. Here you and your family can explore beautiful woodland that has a really enchanted feel to it.

So there you have it! A few days out in Hertfordshire ideas! Hope you’ve found some inspiration for your next day out with your family.

We personally had a wonderful time visiting Paradise Wildlife Park. It is possible to spend the entire day there and there are lots of areas to sit and have a picnic too, which is great for the budget! Half-term can be super expensive, so I’ve tried to include a range of prices of activities.

If you enjoyed this post I’d love it if you could pin it on Pinterest!

Visiting Warner Bros Studio is my childhood aspiration and this time I am looking forward to get this fulfilled.
