AD. When I was young I was fortunate to live near horses. Then I became friends with a girl who owned a horse too. This meant that I spent a number of my early years around horses. In exchange for mucking out I was even able to ride a horse near our house every week for a few years. This was something that I thoroughly enjoyed and think of fondly. Now I have a daughter I dream of the day that she will learn to ride a horse too. Recently Petplan Equine got in touch to ask me to take part in their ‘My Dream Horse’ campaign and tell me about Horse Insurance from Petplan Equine. This campaign involves having one of the children in the family draw their Dream Horse and then it is brought to life!

Petplan have been providing insurance for more than 40 years and truly understand the needs of horse owners. They knew that horse owners have specific needs when it comes to their lovely horses and that is why they are one of only a few equine insurance providers that can provide genuine ‘lifetime’ policies. I’m a pet owner myself and with a cat with a poorly heart I know how important pet insurance is.

As my own daughter is just one I knew that she wouldn’t be up to the challenge of drawing her dream horse, just yet. I decided that I would choose one of my lovely nieces, Matilda, to be the lucky participant. Matilda is 7 and is super intelligent. I knew that Matilda would absolutely love to be able to design her own horse and would present a drawing that would be slightly challenging! I was not wrong!

Here is the Dream Horse drawing that Matilda provided me with:

Here are the further notes that I needed to make in order to help her Dream Horse be manufactured:

As you can see Matilda has created a really unique drawing. Matilda was really excited about receiving her Dream Horse and I was looking forward to seeing the results too.

Fast forward a few weeks and this is the finished result of Matilda’s Dream Horse:

This looks SO accurate! The end result is absolutely fantastic. As you can see they’ve got all of the details, even the tooth fairy!

I knew that Matilda would be thrilled with the end result and I wasn’t wrong! As soon as it arrived we made arrangements to meet up with family for Sunday lunch. Once Matilda arrived back from visiting her Dad I presented her with the toy. As it came in a beautiful silky bag it was even more exciting. Of course the bag was promptly discarded once Matilda saw the toy!

I love that this is a one of a kind toy that Matilda is the only person to own. Seeing her drawing come to life was fantastic and made me feel really happy.

This post has been made possible thanks to Petplan Equine, however all thoughts are my own. Although the Dream Horse – that was all Matilda!

It is lovely isn't it! My friend has Pet Plan for his dog and he's had around £10,000 of work done all covered under his policy!
