Since becoming a parent I seem to rely on my phone more than ever. Whether it is late night Googling of phrases like “Why does my child wake up at 2am every night?” or “When do children sleep through the night” or keeping myself occupied when Daisy has fallen asleep in the car I love having my phone to hand. Being able to keep in touch with my friends, record moments with photographs or just play a game is a great way to keep myself occupied during the tougher parenting moments in life. Recently I’ve been able to rely on my battery, thanks to testing out one of the range of Energizer smartphones, the Energizer Power Max P550S – and I want to let you know what I think of it!
The first thing that I noticed about the Energizer Power Max P550S is the cool packaging it comes in! No boring cardboard box here. This comes inside a fantastic metal tin that looks very cool! There were cable tidy clips towards the back so I could be sure that the phone hadn’t been tampered with.
The Energizer Power Max P550S is pretty lightweight, at just a touch over 200 grams. This makes it around 30% heavier than the phone I currently have, the iPhone 8, but this wasn’t an issue at all for me. It was weighty enough that I knew I had it in my pocket, but not heavy when holding for videography or phone calls. In the box you get screen protectors, a little booklet, your charger and headphones too which is fantastic for this price point.
The main selling point of the Energizer Power Max P550S has to be the battery life. With the 5000 mAh battery, you can get up to 13 hours video watching time. This is ideal for longer trips for business, travelling or holidaying with children or if you just don’t remember to charge your device every night, like me! As this phone has power-saving technology every milliampere of a battery is optimized to ensure that it avoids wastage of battery. Anything that makes me less likely to have run out of battery when I need my phone most is good with me! The most common time for me to see that my phone battery has died is when I’m finally sitting down for some food in a restaurant and I have no YouTube or Netflix to entertain Daisy!
The features of this phone are absolutely fantastic, and compare well to some of the top seller phones, especially when you consider that the Energizer Power Max P550S, at just £169.99, is around 1/4 of the price of most smartphones.
Here are just a few of the fantastic features of the Energizer Power Max P550S:
5.5″ HD screen with light sensor
13MP rear + 5MP front facing cameras
Quad-core 1.3 GHz
Up to 12 hours 4G talk time and up to 20 days standby time
2GM RAM (the same as my iPhone 8!)
The Energizer Power Max P550S is really straight-forward to use, even for someone like me who is used to using an iPhone. I was initially unsure how I would find the Android operating system, but it is really user-friendly. It took next to no time to get used to the change from my iPhone 8 and I was pleasantly surprised.
I was able to download apps with ease, get on Facebook and Instagram and use all of the normal features that I rely on from a smartphone. The Energizer smartphones have definitely given me a fantastic impression from the off as this one is simple to use and a bargain price too!
There are 13 Energizer smartphones in the range, covering resistant smartphones, smartphones with long-lasting batteries, smartphones with protection accessories included and mobile phones too. There is something to suit all budgets and you can find out more about the range on the Energizer website.
When the people behind Energizer smartphones got in touch with me they also sent me this really interesting infographic about mobile phone and battery life.
