We were gifted the featured items in exchange for coverage. Father’s Day is coming! In the UK Father’s Day 2019 falls on Sunday 16th June. As this is just a few weeks after Thomas’ Birthday AND our Wedding Anniversary I’m planning ahead – as I don’t want to be caught out without a gift. My lovely husband always makes sure that Mother’s Day is a lovely event in our home. He will spend the day treating me well, completing all the household jobs and dealing with most of the parenting. I really look forward to this day, as I feel so privileged to be a mother to Daisy, and I can’t believe Daisy is 3! Anyway, today I’ve got a selection of lovely items that I have hand-picked as I think each and every one of them is a fantastic gift idea for Father’s Day!

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Weekend Away

If your partner works away, or you want to treat him to a nice weekend somewhere fancy then this weekend from the gift set section of Victoria Plum is a fantastic choice. This weekend bag includes shower gel, soap, hair & body wash, body lotion and aftershave balm. Perfect for a trip away and best of all the weekend bag can be used over and over again. As Thomas and I like to try and have a few little breaks from parenting and working throughout the year I know this will get lots of use.

Thomas sports a wonderful beard, which I love, but needs to still shave his face daily to keep himself looking smart. Wilkinson Sword has a range of razors to suit all requirements. The Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Sense razor auto-adjusts to the amount of pressure applied to the skin for a customised shave. The Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 Groomer has everything you need to shave and trim hair.

My husband, like most men I know, has a range of aftershaves that he likes to use. Thanks to the Twist & Spritz he can take 8ml of aftershave with him, without worrying about breaking a glass bottle or even losing it when staying away from home. 8ml of fragrance provides around 100 sprays which makes it perfect for packing when travelling for work, holidaying or just enjoying a weekend away.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Nicer Dicer

We are keen cooks in our family, and love meal planning, cooking from scratch and batch cooking. These are fantastic ways to save money, eat healthy food and keep motivated to stay away from the takeaway. The Nicer Dicer is a 14 piece food prep set that is ideal for people who love batch cooking. You can cube, dice, slice, spiralize, grate and more. The Nicer Dicer is designed to make prepping salads, vegetables for cooking and more with ease. You can even cut soft foods like mozzarella, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms and more.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Stryyk

As our family lifestyle has become healthier in recent years we have cut back on the amount of alcohol that we consume. I personally really miss cocktails, spirits & mixers and just the feel of sipping on a nice alcoholic beverage. Stryyk is a range of zero-proof alternatives to spirits such as Rum, Vodka and Gin. The Stryyk Not Rum is 100% natural and contains no sugar, no fat, no carbohydrates and no artificial flavours. It is a fantastic alternative to alcoholic beverages and I’ve been having great fun testing this out for a range of mocktails. Just a standard Not Rum & Coke has my heart and even Thomas, a rum lover, has been impressed by the flavour of this beverage.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Von Haus BBQ Utensil Set

The perfect weather for BBQs is upon us! My husband loves nothing more than firing up the gas BBQ at my Mum’s house, throwing back a couple of ice cold drinks and getting his legs out. I love the days we spend with family having BBQs and we’re SO excited about moving house soon and having a garden, and BBQ of our own. This BBQ Utensil Set from Von Haus is absolutely fantastic. We actually used this exact set on holiday back in January and loved it! You receive 1 fork, 1 spatula, 1 cleaning brush, 1 silicone brush, 1 tong, 1 spoon, 8 corn holder and 4 skewers. Just about everything you need for a delicious, frugal family BBQ with homemade kebabs!

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Nike shorts from Mainline Menswear

Nike clothing and footwear is always a winner in our home. As we’re going to be having lots of time in the garden this summer, both in our new home and with family, I’ve selected Thomas a couple of new pairs of shorts. These Nike Standard Logo Shorts are simple, comfortable and functional too. They are perfect for jogging in or just relaxing around the home. I’ve also selected Thomas a pair of similar looking Nike swimming shorts, as I know they’re plain enough for him to be comfortable wearing them around family.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Thirst Aid Box

No BBQ or family day hanging in the garden would be complete without a few nice ice cold beers for Thomas & the other Dads in our family. This Thirst Aid Box from Best of British Beer is packed full of wonderful quality British beer and the perfect gift as it is reusable time and time again afterwards. This set has 6 x 500ml British beers made up of 2 pale ales, 2 golden beers and 2 Best Bitters.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Cinema Date

The gift of a day out, or experience, is one that I love. When you hand the gift over you’re really obligating the person to book a nice day out for themselves and ensure that they don’t waste the money you’ve spent. Cinema tickets with Dinner from BuyAGift is a fantastic gift as it is perfect for a date night, date day or even just taking a few hours out of a busy day a couple of times. The dinner and cinema tickets don’t have to be used on the same day, which is great, but they can if preferred.

What cinema trip would be complete without some nice sweets? Did you know that most cinemas are actually happy for you to take your own confectionery in with you, to save some money? The DC Comics Super Heroes range from Jelly Belly is perfect for some of the upcoming films this year! You can find your nearest Jelly Belly stockists using this handy locator.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019

It probably feels like there is quite an outdoorsy theme to my Father’s Day Gift Guide this year and you’d be absolutely right! The No Bounds Bluetooth Speaker is perfect for active families. It is made from sustainable cork and is water and dust-proof. It charges in just 2 hours, from flat, and gives 10 hours of battery life. There is a built-in microphone to take calls and you can even pair two together for stereo sound.

We are fans of being organised at home and my husband has really got on board in the last year or so. This Pusheen Desk Pad is perfect for writing out our planned dinners, cleaning routine for the week and anything that we don’t want to forget. Best of all we can have it out in an obvious place at home and not worry about forgetting anything. We tend to sit down on Sunday evenings and plan out the week ahead, making arrangements for any upcoming special occasions and Daisy’s days at Nursery.

A card is really essential for Father’s Day and Danilo have a fantastic range of cards. I chose this Doctor Who Father’s Day Card, as Thomas loves Doctor Who, but they have a huge array of cards and gifts.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Wine and Helix Oxford Writing Set

I don’t drink alcohol regularly now but sometimes Thomas and I want to have a nice glass of wine with dinner. Or we have family over and want to open a bottle with dinner. Willow & Stone is a great value wine, filled with sweet blackberries and blackcurrants. It is perfect to drink as is, or with a nice fruit garnish. You can buy this in the Co-op for just £3.99! We love blackberries and I’ve even written a post on how to freeze blackberries.

My favourite of the two bottles has to be this Andrew Peace Chardonnay. This is the perfect accompaniment to a lighter chicken roast in Summer or even a creamy, rich fish pie. You can find this in the Co-cp for £5.50 and I love that this is from a family that has been crafting this over three generations.

The Helix Oxford writing range is a great gift for a Father who is studying at the moment. Whether for work or general life enhancement the Oxford Writing Set contains everything needed for students or even just using in the home office.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Red Letter Day

My husband is a big fan of the West End and theatre shows in general. These West End Top Price Theatre Tickets for 2 from Red Letter Days are the perfect gift as I get to attend a show with him too. Not only can you save money using this set but there is a range of shows to choose from including Wicked, The Woman In Black and Thriller Live. You can choose from matinee or evening shows and you just collect your tickets from the box office around half an hour before the show begins.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - Bento Box and Juggling Balls

Packing food when heading on days out is just one of the things that we do regularly to save money. This beautiful modern man bento box has two compartments and plastic cutlery which makes it ideal for packing sandwiches, salads, pasta and more in. We’ve been using this for leftovers and saving a small fortune when out for the day!

Thomas has always wanted to juggle and when I saw just how reasonably priced this set of 3 juggling balls were I couldn’t resist! A perfect ‘stocking filler’ type gift for Father’s Day or perfect for smaller budgets. I’m looking forward to giving these a try myself!
