There is so much that I love about Christmas time. I love the experience of the festive season. I’m also a lover of the fact that we usually spend more time relaxing as a family at Christmas. I love visiting my Mum, who always lays on a lovely spread. Also, my husband having time off, even if it isn’t actually Christmas Day, is always nice. Christmas is often thought of as a time for over indulgence (food and money) but today I want to share with you some favourite Christmas quotes of myself and some other lovely bloggers.
Favourite Christmas Quotes
My favourite quote is “Maybe Christmas”, he thought, “Doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more”. – The Grinch, Dr Seuss – The Speed Bump
A lovely sentiment!
I love the quote “Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting” Thomas S Monsen – Candyfloss & Dreams
Many of the best Christmas quotes centre around how Christmas is about so much more than just how much money you have/spend!
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ~Norman Vincent Peale – Adventures Of A Novice Mum
This definitely sums up Christmas for me!
Christmas is all about presence not presents – The Cheshire Wife
I would much rather spend the day with a loved one than be alone with a present.
No, go back to bed Santa hasn’t even been yet – ChammyIRL
Christmas summed up in one sentence when you have small children!
I hope that you have enjoyed reading these favourite Christmas quotes! I think it is fair to say that the general opinion is that Christmas is about more than just presents and buying things – I couldn’t agree more!
