Spring is here! I love Spring. My daughter was born on the first full day of Spring back in 2016 and since then I have viewed Spring in a different light. I love seeing nature bursting back into life, seeing more wildlife and just generally getting out and enjoying the wonderful fresh air with my family. Today I want to share with you some ways that you can enjoy Spring – completely free! I spoke to other bloggers recently about their favourite free ways to enjoy Spring.
Free ways to enjoy Spring
Get out and explore
Go and explore with your little ones. You can make a checklist of things for them to look out for, like birds, squirrels or a certain tree, and get them to check them off as you go along. Tattooed Tealady
Get out on a forest walk and take a camp stove to have hot dogs for lunch- then enjoy some stream dipping afterward! AnkleBiters Adventures
Enjoy nature trails and treasure hunts. Emily and her family love creating maps and seeing what they can find on their journeys. Simple things like a big tree, a pine cone or a red flower – her boys love it and it costs nothing. Babies And Beauty
Go to the park with all the family and have a picnic, play fetch and other games with the dog and the children, see the trees blossom and feed the ducks. My Everything Beautiful
Get out for a walk in the countryside, especially when all of the spring flowers are starting to bloom. The sun is shining and the weather is getting warmer – nothing better! The Frugal Cottage
Jules and her family have a lake nearby and they love to go walking there during Springtime. They enjoy the warmer weather, the lovely fresh smells and the birds singing and flowers springing up everywhere. There’s something special about spring that means there are new things to discover, everywhere you look. And you can’t beat a good picnic! Pondering Parenthood
Kate and her family love Geocaching! They’ve started this hobby as a fab way to enjoy family adventures most weekends – but are really excited about Spring. Winter has definitely been limiting to their Geocaching adventures. The Less-Refined Mind
Enjoy your home
Go through your wardrobe and remove all heavy jumpers and hints of winter. This always makes Gemma feel Spring is on the way. Somewhere After The Rainbow – This has to be one of my favourite free ways to enjoy Spring at home. Great idea and something I’ve done recently!
Planting seeds in the garden and watching them grow. Jen and her family love to paint the pots too. My Mummy’s Pennies
Watching the birds in our bird box. We get the same ones come back every year. The Parent Game
So as you can see – lots you can do during Spring! The common theme seems to be organisation, money saving with your own food and getting out in the fresh air! Personally, I love to look through my de-clutter challenge and do a bit of Spring cleaning!
