Happy New Year! I’m so pleased that the new year started on a Monday this year. Monday has become one of my favourite days since I started working from home. I always feel that a Monday is a fresh start to the week! Anyway, this Monday I was enjoying a nice meal at my Mum’s house for New Years Day and that is why this post is a day late! This weeks Living Arrows 1/53 post is now live – come take a look and see what Daisy has been up to!

Living Arrows 1/52 - Daisy playing on her tablet

Daisy received a Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for Christmas from her Grandma. Initially, I wasn’t sure that we would get any use from the tablet but we have been using it for a small amount of time each day. On this occasion, I wanted to get some washing put away and so I was able to sit Daisy on the bed to watch the tablet.

One of the features that I have been loving so far is the games on the tablet. As you can possibly see Daisy was playing on a Peppa Pig game as she is Peppa Pig mad. The idea of this was that you could just do a freehand drawing, using stickers, sounds, and paintbrushes on the tablet. Daisy loved moving her fingers around the screen and seeing what was happening.

We’ve had a lovely week so far and Daisy is now at nursery two mornings a week – Tuesdays and Fridays. I’m really looking forward to having some extra time to get some work done and have a rest too. Some weeks when Daisy is in her nursery I’m so exhausted from my chronic illnesses that I just come home and have a sleep. I feel really lucky that we can afford to send her to the nursery!

Thanks to Donna at What The Redhead Said for running this lovely linky. I can’t wait to take part again this year and see how much Daisy grows in 2018.

J’s tablet is great for when I need to get things done. He also uses it to unwind when he’s had a ‘sensory stressful’ morning. There’s some great educational apps so I don’t feel too guilty x

We have been thinking about getting our daughter a tablet. She loves to play games on my phone, it seems to calm her down!

Daisy looks very happy with her new Kindle. I don’t mind my kids having a little time on them each day as the games are fun and educational. I hope she enjoys nursery and you get rest where you can xx #LivingArrows

Monday was my favourite day of the week when it was my day off, now it is just full of chewy people in the office. Booooo! Work from home forever that’s my advice! We gave our little one my iPad when we went on a 10 hour flight, now he won’t give me it back. The wiggles toothbrushing app, the alphablocks and twirlywoos are constantly rotated! Makes me grrr when I see the BBC charging for cbeebies apps! X
