Happy New Year! I hope that your 2020 is off to a great start, I know ours is. As is common at this time of year I am feeling super motivated. Because Daisy and I have had the flu for several weeks we’ve been stuck home which means I’ve had time to think about lots of plans for the year ahead both for our family and for my blogging life.
Daisy absolutely loves to help out in the kitchen, and just about anywhere around the house. In the last week, I’ve been trying to get back on track with work but Daisy has only had 1 afternoon at Nursery, due to still being unwell. I’ve made the most of the time that Daisy has not been here to work but I’ve also had to get on with jobs like housework and even a little work while she’s been here.
We have made pancakes together, egg and bean bakes, and Daisy has helped me with vacuuming, typing on my computer and putting away groceries. We’ve also been able to spend time crafting, playing puzzles, watching films and just generally enjoying each other’s company.
Today we’re going to be running some errands together and visiting the park. It is really hard to feel like I achieve a good balance with my family life, as I have so many things I want to write about online too, but lately, it feels like I’m doing good!
In 2020 I’m looking forward to lots of days out, a few holidays, a family wedding and also Daisy starting school. I can’t believe that the time is almost here already, it’s just mind-blowing that she’ll be 4 in a few weeks too! I’m going to plan a little tea party type thing for her I think, as with her allergies a ‘normal’ Birthday party feels a little too scary for this year!
