Happy Monday! The fact that this post exists means that we survived our first full week of chickenpox. It has been LONG and honestly, I’m amazed I found time to even schedule this post. Daisy showed signs of chicken pox on Saturday, 9 days ago, and now it is full swing. This weeks living arrows 13/52 post is now live!

Living Arrows 13/52 - Daisy playing with chicken pox

As you can see Daisy has quite a few spots, but definitely less severe than some of the cases I have seen shared by friends. I’m so thankful for that.

Our whole week has been spent at home, relaxing, and trying to spend time together without going stir crazy. I feel really fortunate that I work from home, and have been able to juggle my workaround Daisy for the past week. I’m aware that this is a real privilege that lots of parents would love to have, an I have reminded myself of this frequently over the past few days. It HAS been tough, parenting, often by myself while Tom is working night shifts, but we’ve made it through over a week now. I’ve been managing to keep my head above water with work, just about, but I’m looking forward to a nice bit of childcare for Daisy sometime soon. Hopefully this week!

Just have to give a little mention to the main product that we’ve been using a lot this week. *Poxclin was recommended to me by lots of friends and it is absolutely fantastic. This is a mousse that is designed to cool and soothe chickenpox and this has helped Daisy stop scratching so much! I think the one pot should last us just about enough time until we are at the end of the chickenpox. Also, I think there might be a couple of little areas that are going to scar, so I’m going to order some *Bio Oil to hopefully help the appearance of these.

If you enjoyed this Living Arrows 13/52 post you may enjoy looking back at our first full year of Living Arrows in 2017. You can also look back at the same week last year, Living Arrows 13/53 – if you fancy a look at how much Daisy has changed in the past year!

Oh bless her, I hadn’t realised you were dealing with Chicken Pox, you poor things! Well done for surviving a whole week of it – home straight now. Definitely going to stock some of that Poxclin stuff ready for when it strikes here! Hope it clears up nice and quickly for her soon x

Poor Daisy, I hope she’s feeling better now. My two had them last month and February and both still have some marks, they are taking ages to go. It’s great that you managed to juggle work with looking after a poorly Daisy x

Thanks so much Angela, she’s almost better now! It’s so hard isn’t it! The pox seem to take forever to disappear too!

Oh bless her. I hope that she’s back to normal soon. At least it’s out of the way! x

Sorry to read that she has been suffering with chicken pox. My girls have yet to get it but I understand it’s much better to contract as a child than an adult. #LivingArrows

It definitely is – I’ve had it as an adult and it was NOT nice!

Thanks love, she’s done really well, just one very bad day and is recovered now. Just got to wait weeks for the spots to go away!

Oh poor thing, I remember when Monkey got it and he’s got bad skin anyway but that stuff was great! Glad you managed to make it work, hopefully by now she’s on the mend xx

Oh poor Daisy! Hope she’s feeling better soon. We’ve somehow managed to avoid the pox so far which I can’t quite believe considering how much my 2 must’ve been exposed to the virus over the years! x #LivingArrows

Thanks so much – she’s doing well now. Hope your 2 have developed an immunity to it!

Oh poor Daisy – chicken pox is awful but it sounds like you’ve both coped very well and hopefully she is well on her way to recovery now #LivingArrows

Thank you, I was surprised at just how well we managed to be honest.
