Living Arrows 16/52 – A day off together (at last!)

Recently my husband has been working a vast quantity of overtime shifts. While the extra money is always nice we don’t need it. Also, I’d rather have my husband home than have extra money. I know he feels the same. However, sometimes in life you have to just suck it up and get on with it. This means I’ve been doing all of the childcare alone. It also means that my husband has barely seen Daisy for the past fortnight. I’ve been good at going down the allotment without him and just getting on with it. However, I have missed my husband lots. Fortunately we had Saturday off and half of Sunday too. So that was nice! Our Living Arrows 16/52 post is now live!

Living Arrows is a linky from the lovely Donna from What The Redhead Said that you can find here. Parents are invited to link up weekly and share photos of their children from the previous week. I love taking part and I’m looking forward to looking back at the end of the year.

Living Arrows 16/52 - Daisy trying on new glasses while we waited for Daddy

Daisy tried on some of the display glasses at Specsavers while we waited for Tom to buy his new glasses.

As well as going to Specsavers we went to the allotment and did a bit of shopping. My weeks of illness haven’t stopped yet and now I have tonsillitis. I’m not sure why I’m having such a bad run of illness but I do know I’m sick of moaning.

For the week ahead I’m going to try and be as positive as possible, eat super healthy and hope for the best. We are off on holiday this time next week so I don’t want to get stuck feeling sorry for myself. Yes I’m under the weather but never mind – there are worse things in life aren’t there!

She totally suits the glasses!! Mine do the same while I’m busy choosing mine even though neither of them need it. I hope you feel better soon #LivingArrows

Thank you. I think that I’m finally on the mend!

I really hope you’re better soon, you have been poorly for such a long time. Daisy looks so cute in those glasses – they actually really suit her! Shiftwork sucks, I can completely relate and agree – money is great but time together is better x

I know – it has been a rough few weeks. I’ve got a low immune system because of some health problems but I’m really having a rough time of it in that respect lately. I’m currently at home wearing a 24 hour blood pressure monitor. So random the problems I’m having!
She loved wearing them and having her own pair.
So important to have time isn’t it x
