Living Arrows 18/52 – A great week on holiday

If you read last week’s post you’ll know that times have been a bit tough. Lots of illness, a febrile convulsion and much more. While my health still isn’t great, and I’ve got lots on for that this week, we have had a great week. We went off to Centerparcs with some friends and as always Daisy had a wonderful week. There was just one night of sickness, which isn’t bad for a baby with lots of allergies. Besides that we had a wonderful week full of fun, swimming and playing together. Our Living Arrows 18/52 post is now live and full of the joy of our week together!

Living Arrows is a linky from the lovely Donna from What The Redhead Said. Parents are invited to link up weekly and share photos of their children from the previous week. I love taking part and I’m looking forward to looking back at the end of the year.

Living Arrows 18/52 – 2017

Living Arrows 18/52 - Daisy feeding the ducks

Here is Daisy feeding the ducks. We love this at Centerparcs and we always buy the special duck food that they sell. Daisy was a bit grumpy this day, as she had not slept much. However, we welcomed lots of ducks, geese and more to our feast!

Our holiday was filled with swimming and relaxing. Daisy was a bit grumpy at times, as she’s teething too, but despite this we were really happy to get away again together.

This is our last holiday for a few months now so we are going to be working hard at our allotment and thinking about our next adventures together.

Living Arrows 18/52 - Daisy playing in the arcades

Here is Daisy playing on a dolphin ride in the arcades with Daddy. We always stop off in here every holiday and have a few games. Daisy is getting more interested in things now and she enjoyed trying to win a keyring too.

I love feeding the ducks and geese as well!
What’s in the special food for them?
And when are you next on your hols?

I didn’t actually look, but it appeared to be grains and seeds. Must be healthier for them?
We are having a break now for a few months! Got lots of busy work down the allotment and then we will be going to Paris in September hopefully.

Great to be going to Paris 🙂

Just been reading about why we shouldn’t feed ducks bread. Heard it mentioned in passing before but didn’t realise it’s so bad for them! 🙁
As well as seeds and grains, apparently they also like sweetcorn, frozen peas (defrosted of course!), kale, oats and rice!
I’ll look into some special food as well.

Thanks for helping ducks and geese in my area 🙂

Ahh you’re so welcome! I like to do my bit. As soon as I learned not to give them bread I’ve never done it again. I’ll have to take some sweetcorn and peas to our local ones. I wonder if they have to be cooked first?

Oh wow – thanks for sharing! I always have frozen peas and sweetcorn in. Next time we want to feed them we can just get some out of the freezer!

Ahhh I love Centre Parcs, it’s such a nice place to go and feels like a proper wholesome holiday doesn’t it?! Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, mixed in with teething that must be a nightmare. Hope things improve soon! #livingarrows

It really does doesn’t it! Fortunately Daisy has had her 6th tooth come through so hopefully we will get a little break now. Fingers crossed.

It sounds like you had such a lovely break and so sorry you’re not feeling great yet. I hope you’re back to full health asap! x

Thank you. This is my worst bout of illness for some years so hopefully it’ll be over soon and I will be feeling great again!
