Living Arrows 2/52 [2019]

Happy Monday! I’m actually writing this just an hour before it publishes, as I’ve been a little lax this weekend. Daisy and I had a lovely weekend relaxing together and we got through a whole weekend of being alone together just fine. This weeks living arrows 2/52 post is now live!

Living Arrows 2/52

Daisy is playing with a little bunch of artificial flowers that she found in the hall and she had so much fun. The flowers kept her entertained for absolutely ages and she had great fun separating them out. Daisy practised her colours, counting and also did lots of pretending to smell the flowers.

Last week was a pretty uneventful one. Daisy and I went shopping, I bought new glasses and that was about the highlight of the week! Daisy’s behaviour was pretty good, although she’s still not sleeping lots. We’ve just accepted this now and started letting her go to bed later in the evening, and we have been going to bed earlier too. This is working out really well for us and means we are all getting more sleep. Also, I’ve been able to get out of bed between 5 and 6am, to allow myself to get some work done. The balance is good lately, which makes a nice change!

Today Daisy is off for a fasting blood test to see if she may have type 1 diabetes. I’m hoping it won’t be that but we shall see in a week or two I expect. Have a good week and I’ll be back next week with another post for Living Arrows!

If you enjoyed this Living Arrows 2/52 post you may enjoy looking back at our first full year of Living Arrows in 2017. You can also look back at the same week last year, Living Arrows 2/53 – if you fancy a look at how much Daisy has changed in the past year!

Fingers crossed for the blood tests Katy. Sometimes it’s lovely to just have a chilled weekend at home isn’t it, that’s what we are planning for this week x #livingarrows

Hope everything goes well with the blood test, and that the balance you have the moment sticks around, it always helps when it feels like you’re all getting enough sleep doesn’t it! x #LivingArrows

Hope the tests go well and the results are back promptly, nothing worse than the waiting bit! Have a lovely week, fingers crossed the sleeping arrangements continue to work, we’re always woken mega early and I should definitely follow your lead and get up and do work… bed is just too cosy!

Thanks so much! Haha, I wish my bed was cosy. Usually I’m left with no duvet and I’m by the window! x

It sounds like a lovely quiet week. We had two boys who weren’t big fans of sleep (well, Gabe still isn’t a lot of the time) and I definitely think just accepting it and doing what works for you makes it easier. Hope everything goes OK with the blood test too x #LivingArrows

Yeah you’re right, accepting it definitely makes it easier. I’m glad I have stopped fighting it now!

Fingers crossed on the diabetes, I had gestational when I was carrying Kipper. It sounds like you’ve found a good balance. I wish I could get up and work at 5am I’m much more productive in the mornings xx

I’ve been trying to wake up at 5 this year, but I’m not a morning person at all and find it so hard; almost impossible :(. Well done to you!
