Morning! Happy Monday. I’m sharing something a little different this week for Living Arrows 22/52. Also, side note, I can’t believe we are already 22 weeks into the year – wow!
I have a new iPad Pro and Procreate, and Daisy spotted me testing out somethings I was watching on YouTube. Daisy asked me if I could create a cartoon for her – so I had a go and created this:
This week has been about losing sleep battles, playing in the garden and starting to enjoy some family walks together too.
Daisy is definitely having a developmental leap at the moment, so we are just embracing it and doing what we can to make lots of effort with her.
We were trying to get Daisy on to a better routine at bedtime, but this has been a big fail. We’re going back to accepting that Daisy is just not a big sleeper and manages very well on not a lot of sleep.
Thomas is the same, so we’re just going to start letting Daisy stay up a little later at night, and sleep in if she wants to, at least until she goes back to Nursery!
We have been spending lots of time together and I’ve been setting aside one time each day to play toys, push Daisy on the swing and read through her new book about feelings. It’s hard thinking of new activities but I love the look of rescuing frozen animals! We haven’t done this for ages.
*How are you feeling today has been great for Daisy so far. If Daisy is feeling overwhelmed, angry, sad or just about any other feeling, we can get the feelings book out and read through the relevant page. This book has great ideas to help little ones manage feelings and it’s really been useful for Daisy so far.
Thomas has a week off work now and I know it is going to be great for Daisy. We’re planning on spending time in the garden, having our first family BBQ and I have some work planned that involves Daisy.
Face painting, new toys and lots of other goodies are on the agenda! I’m really looking forward to having this time together, and getting some decent work done too!
