Hello, Happy Monday. I hope you have had a nice weekend! We’ve had a family weekend which has been lovely. Also, this week has been the week of childcare starting to be semi back to normal! As in Daisy is at Nursery 2 afternoons and 1 full day, and also Daisy asked to head to Grandma’s house for a sleepover for the first time in around 4 months. It was SO nice to see Daisy & Grandma having time together, playing in the hot tub, digging in the garden and playing with all of the new toys that my Mum has bought online since being in lockdown!

Daisy has really benefited from being able to see a couple of members of her family lately. We’re not back to ‘normal’ by any stretch of the imagination, but just for her to be able to see my Mum, and have a cuddle, as my Mum is in a ‘bubble’ with us now, has been lovely. Also, it was so nice to have my Mum come over for a little takeaway lunch and a nice few hours together. I’m looking forward to her next visit already.

Nasturtiums that I grew in my garden - mostly red but some yellow and orange ones too

Last week the weather was so mixed here, but we still enjoying lots of time together out in the garden. We are trying to grow some grass seed, so have made some areas of the garden out of bounds temporarily, to try and give it a head start on growing, but Daisy hasn’t been phased by this much! We’ve been to our local fields, for a nice walk, and just enjoyed being in each other’s company. I’ve always felt really grateful for my life, and my little family, but being inside for several months together has really increased my gratitude and zest for life.

It must be such a relief to be able to spend time with your mum again. It seems like Daisy has taken lock down in her stride but I bet she’s happy to be getting back to something like normal again.

She’s loving it! We had a few tantrums etc over lockdown but she didn’t know much about what was happening, which was probably both a good idea and a bad one! x
