Happy Monday! I missed last week. I had lots going on and by the time I realised it was already Tuesday! Anyway, another week rolls around and this weeks living arrows 6/52 post is now live!

Living Arrows 6/52

Last week, after collecting Daisy from Nursery, we went for a little shopping trip to town. Daisy said to me “Can I have a pound Mum?” so I obliged. Then she wanted to go on another ride, so I gave her another pound. Then a few minutes later we saw a third ride and that was where I drew the line! Honestly – why is there a need for FIVE different rides in one shopping centre with about 35 shops? And why does everything cost £1 now?!

We had a good week. I’m still battling a cold/ear problem but the rest of my household are healthy. Daisy went to Nursery on Tuesday and Friday and was great both times. I had lots of time to work and we had a great weekend too. My sister was visiting so we headed over to my Mum’s house on Saturday to meet my latest nephew, Oliver.

Daisy is growing so fast now. I put a few videos and stories of her up on my Instagram and I’ve had so many messages about her height! Daisy has been wearing 3-4 clothes for quite a few now and I’m sure she’ll outgrow those in a few months too! She is very tall, for her age, and according to the chart in her red book, she should be 5 foot 9 or 5 foot 10! I’m only 5 foot 5.5 inches and I’ve always wished I was a little bit taller!

We are being very careful to not let on to M that these rides take money. Fortunately she seems thrilled just to sit in them, for now! I’m such a mean mummy! #LivingArrows

I don’t think you’re mean at all! If Daisy hadn’t clocked onto the pound situation I’d be golden!

Oh those blasted £1 rides ! some in our town centre cost £2, I try and manoeuvre the kids around them when we visit. I hope Daisy enjoyed playing with her cousins x #livingarrows

She really did thank you! Those rides are so expensive aren’t they!

Those machines are lethal – thankfully we managed to persuade him that they’re broken so he doesn’t ask for the pound, but we still have to hang out there for ages! Hope you feel a bit brighter soon! x

I know its crazy! I remember when they use to be 20p. Sounds like a good weekend. Kipper is also in 3-4 on the top because of the fact he’s so broad but he’s got really short legs lol! I will have to look at the red book. I am only 5.1 so I am hoping both boys will be significantly taller than me. xx

I think I read a study before that said that all boys will be taller than their Mum. I can’t remember if it was 100% of boys or most, but it was pretty interesting!

I’m so glad mine have grown out of those rides now. Although they used to love sitting on them and then get freaked out on the odd occasion I did put money in them and they moved! #LivingArrows

Oh, I still wish I was taller. I hate it sometimes when I see pretty long dresses and I just know they would look awful on me!

In regard to those rides, I always tell my toddler I don’t have a pound so he doesn’t insist.

Haha it seems that is really common from the comments on this post!

I think I must be such a mean Mummy as usually when we see those rides I tell the kids they’re broken! x

So many people have said this!

I’ve somehow managed to get away with hardly ever putting money into those machines, my children have just been happy to climb in and out of them and pretend to drive them/fly them/whatever them! x #LivingArrows

So many people have said this, it’s too late for Daisy but I’ll remember this for the next baby!

I feel like I’ve missed a trick here!
