I’m a huge fan of making money and I’ll turn my hand to almost anything legal! Paid surveys are just one of the ways that I make money and today I want to share with you my Mindswarms review.

Mindswarm is a mobile app, and website, that allows you to get paid good sums of money for recording your answers to a survey. You can use your mobile phone camera or even the camera on a MacBook. Personally I would recommend using your phone camera as this is likely to be the higher quality of the two.

Mindswarm review - Make $50-$75 per video survey

My Mindswarm review is going to be based on my personal opinion. I have had the mobile app for a long period of time now but had never really given it much of a look. A year or two ago I completed a video survey for them but then I lost my account. As I like to mention websites and app that I personally use I wanted to re-visit it for the purpose of this post. I’m glad I did as I made $75 in just a few minutes for the privilege!

You will want to download the app on iOs or Android. The app is free to download. Once you create your account you’ll be required to answer some questions. These will be done via video and they are basically a chance for you to introduce yourself and prove that you can take videos. I tried to make sure that I had good lighting, was smiley and I answered the questions well. I was clear with my answers and I got feedback afterwards that I was perfect for the first campaign that I applied for because of this.

Once you have set up your account and completed the basics you’re able to start applying for work. Some of the jobs will be limited to specific areas, such as the US, but there is work on occasion for the UK too. Now you’re never going to make your millions using this, as there isn’t always work. But as always it is worth keeping this on your phone. This is an app that does update throughout the week. I try and make a point of checking at least a couple of times a week.

What you will see upon checking is the name of the survey. Then how many questions it is, what the remuneration is and what demographics they require. At present they have 4 campaigns for US based people and these range from $50 – $75. Last week they had a campaign for people in the UK, that I completed, and I received $75. You can see my payment proof below.

What do I think of Mindswarms?

Well I think it is great money for the work required. It took me less than 5 minutes to film my answers to 7 questions with my husband holding my phone. Within 24 hours I received $75 and great feedback on my work too. I was really pleased and will be sure to keep this on my phone now!

You’re not going to find daily work here at this rate but even just a couple of these a year is great. This could be significantly better than some other survey sites – for much less work. Will be checking this one out as it’s new to me! Must admit the thought of recording myself isn’t altogether too appealing (I do website reviews but that’s voice only, not my ugly mug) but it certainly sounds as though worth giving it a go as and when the jobs come up. Thanks for the heads up 🙂

Like you Katy am also nervous about recording myself, but every first time attempt is to overcome a challenge. It’s like taking a keep of faith.
