We were gifted the items featured within this gift guide in exchange for coverage. I have selected the items myself and have tried to choose items that I would want to receive myself, as a Mum. I’m about to celebrate my 3rd Mother’s Day since Daisy was born. The wants and needs that I have, now I’m a parent to a 3-year-old have changed considerably. Today I want to share with you some of the items that I’ve been loving in the past few weeks and months, to give you some inspiration for your own Mum. This is my Mother’s Day 2019 Gift Guide.
Who doesn’t love a nice bar of chocolate? This Mother’s Day you can say thank you to you Mum, and express your love, with a wonderful Cadburys Mother’s Day hamper. This fantastic hamper comes with assorted bars of Cadburys chocolate, a box of Roses, a bag of Cadburys goodies and it’s all delivered in a lovely Cadburys purple gift box. You can even arrange delivery on Sundays – perfect for the big day itself!
Not only is it Mother’s Day for us Mums to little ones but also our Mums too! My Mum and Mother-in-law are both wonderful, strong women who always help us with childcare and support when we need it. For this reason, I’m always thinking about getting them something lovely for Mother’s Day too. Not only from myself and Thomas, but also from Daisy too. Daisy loves her Grandma and Nanny, so much, so we want them to have a lovely gift from her too. The handmade wing necklace from Jana Reinhardt Jewellery comes in a range of materials, including this beautiful sterling silver one.
Perhaps this year for Mother’s Day you’re going to cook your Mum a wonderful meal. Three Mills Reserve has a wonderful range of wines, with a 10.5% ABV, making it the perfect treat to enjoy with a variety of dishes. They have a fruity white wine, ideal to serve with fish or chicken. The Three Mills Reserve Red is packed with red fruit flavours, alongside hints of vanilla. You can find Three Mills Reserve in B&M in 75cl and 187ml sized with the 187ml costing an amazing £1.09!
Giving the gift of perfume can be quite difficult, as perfume can be so personal. Oriflame’s Eclat Mon Parfum is such a different fragrance to others I’ve tried. This wonderful scent is made up with some very precious and expensive raw ingredients, including the White Orris flower and the Boudoir accord from the fragrance house DeLaire, something only shared by scents from Chanel and Guerlain previously. I love the packaging of this and the scent is so unique!
For me, self-care is really important. I love to try and make a little time each day for myself. When I have an hour to spare I like to relax with a bubble bath and lovely candles. Being able to de-stress, from the busy day, is a really important part of parenting. My daughter doesn’t sleep as much as most 3-year-olds so we have a lot of evenings together. When I finish work and finally sink into the tub, I like to light a nice candle and de-stress. The de-stress gift set from Scentered is perfect for busy Mums. With a lovely travel candle, and a full-size therapy balm, not only does this gift set look good but it smells WONDERFUL too!
When Daisy was first born I had no problems drinking a nice hot cup of tea. I was breastfeeding, and I deserved to have my food & drink brought to me! Then Thomas returned back to work and I was in for a short shock! Now, almost 3 years later, I’m still regularly making drinks and then forgetting about them as I put them down for just a few minutes. The Breville HotCup with Variable Dispense has been a game changer for our home! In under a minute I can prepare my cup, get a shot of boiling water for my tea and be sitting down and enjoying my drink. I find that because I like my drinks milky they are the perfect temperature to start drinking almost right away! No more do I place down my cup only to come across it later looking all cold and sad! The huge 2-litre tank means I don’t have to fill it up for a couple of days and I don’t have to carry a large, heavy kettle anymore either which has saved my poor, achy hands!
If you want your Mum to be able to stay safe when on the roads then the 112 Dash Cam from Nextbase is a fantastic idea. This is the smallest and lightest dash cam in the Nextbase range and you can get it set up and recording journeys in just minutes. This records in 720 HD at 30fps so is a high enough quality, for a low enough price, to use as evidence should your Mum encounter any bad drivers on the roads.
You know I’m all about cutting back on food waste. I like to meal plan, batch cook with mince and cooking from scratch is one of my favourite ways to cut back on household expenses. Now, thanks to the FoodSaver Black Vacuum Sealing Machine I’m able to sous vide, keep food fresh and also stop food waste. Now I can prepare small amounts of meat & vegetables, for Daisy, and keep them frozen without worrying about freezer burn. I’m also loving the fact you can buy reusable FoodSaver Vacuum Zipper Bags!
Giving the gift of choice and experiences is something that I love. Over the last few years, I have arranged for friends and family to visit the theatre, have spa days and enjoy nice 3 course meals out. The ultimate time together smart box is a wonderful way to treat your Mum this Mother’s Day. You can buy online, and receive an e-voucher in minutes, or you can arrange for the box to be posted out to your Mum. This box is fantastic and it is designed for 2 people to spend a nice bit of time together. This could be your Mum & her partner, or a friend. Alternatively, you could arrange it so that you get to go out for an experience day with your Mum – that way you benefit too from your lovely gift!
