Well, the time has finally come and our daughter has arrived!

Regular readers of my blog will know that my husband and I have been expecting a daughter in the coming weeks. Earlier this month we were fortunate enough to welcome our beautiful daughter into the World!

Daisy Blue was born at 1:01PM and weighed a teeny tiny 5lb 13oz. My birth was a bit of a difficult one but we are recovering well now and we are doing good!

We are home and we are settling into our new life as parents to a baby! Life is amazing, and I am looking forward to featuring Daisy in some of my posts in the coming weeks and months, as well as bringing my usual personal finance posts to you.

I have lots of blog posts planned for the coming months but things are on hold, for the next few days at least. I hope that my regular readers will bear with me in the coming days and weeks – I have LOTS of fantastic posts planned and ready and waiting!

Our daughter has arrived – here she is:

Our daughter has arrived

One thing that I have learned towards the end of my pregnancy is ALWAYS trust your instincts. I knew that my baby was not growing, and that something was not right.

I used a Kicks count band to monitor movements. Pushing for another growth scan when I felt that things had changed was so important. I’m so, so grateful that I trusted myself and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

If we had waited until the end of our pregnancy the outcome may have been very different. This was due to a complete lack of growth. We are doing very well now, despite her dinky full-term size. We are very grateful to be home as a family.

Oh congratulations. We just had a daughter too in 2016, end of January. Well done on trusting your instincts. Mums always know best and some medics know this xxx
