Likes & Loves June 2020

The year is half over. I really hope by Christmas life feels a little more ‘normal’, even if it is a new normal for us! I’m not a huge fan of Summer, but this year we have a nice garden, a house to keep us a little cooler than our flat did, and a nice BBQ too! As always I’m sharing the products that I have been loving for the past month, so here are my likes and loves June 2020! Items that were gifted to me for a possible mention within this feature will be clearly marked with a #. Advertorials are clearly marked with AD.

Living Arrows 24/52 – Here comes the art trolley!

Good morning. Happy Monday. I’m hoping for a great productive, happy week with my family this week. We’re starting to see the odd relative, at a social distance of course, which I’m sure will be filling up Daisy’s cup so much as she has missed everyone so much. Living Arrows 24/52 is now live – I missed a week last week as I took some time away from social media!

Air fryer chicken wings – crispy and delicious!

I love the convenience of the air fryer. In just a few minutes I can cook myself a hot lunch, tasty snack or even make a full dinner! My air fryer has to be one of my favourite kitchen gadgets now. I’m becoming more and more experimental with what I’m making and love the time that my air fryer saves me. I don’t want to always have the oven on, heating up my whole house! We love chicken wings in our house so the rub for these air fryer chicken wings has been a long time in the making!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #128 Meal Plan

Hello! Happy Friday. I’m sorry that I missed the meal plan last week. We did still meal plan at home, and stick to it well, I just didn’t have the heart for blogging and sharing life for a few days. I feel back on track now! We’ve got a Hello Fresh box this week, then I think I feel mentally ready to try meal planning and cooking from my own imagination again!

I love the convenience of Hello Fresh and am going to write about it soon. I just feel that some of the meal choices are getting a little samey so I might skip 1-2 weeks then see how I feel about going back to it!

Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food.

I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.
