Last year my husband and I really wanted to go pumpkin picking. It was our first year as a family, as our daughter Daisy was 7 months old already. We looked at places to go pumpkin picking in Essex / Hertfordshire and we found Cammas Hall. We’ve been back this year too for fruit picking at Cammas Hall.

While choosing our pumpkin we were able to visit the fruit fields and collect up the last of the years produce.
Pumpkin picking in Essex / Hertfordshire with Cammas Hall.

At Cammas Hall the pumpkins are already harvested and are waiting for you in a fenced off area. This is really convenient as if you have little ones with you they can just make their selection and then you can head off to the play area. It is really straight forward, but great fun too.

We were able to pick our own sweetcorn too. These were only 50p each and it was great fun finding the perfect corn!

The fruit fields were about to close for the year but we were fortunate that they were open into October on our visit. They will be closing any day now so head on down and get yourself some of the last fresh fruit of the year.
The prices for produce was super reasonable. For example we bought a large pumpkin, 2 sweetcorns, strawberries and blackberries – all for just under £6.50! I was really surprised and it was great to choose fresh produce. Here are my tips on how to freeze blackberries for when you have a glut!
If you are looking for pumpkin picking in Hertfordshire or Essex then do check out Cammas Hall. The pumpkin picking patch opens next week on October 3rd. So why not head on down and check it out!
