Quack and Field books – Great fun for little ones!

I want my daughter grow up loving books, like I did. I’ve got many happy memories of visiting the library and returning with a few books. Of course these days people don’t need to use the library as much. Books are now widely accessible and often a lot cheaper than they used to be. While the library can still serve a purpose I think owning books is great. Having a book on hand, at a seconds notice is lovely. We were recently sent these Quack and Field books, on trampolining and swimming, and this is what we’ve thought of them.

Quack and Field Book Review - A look at the cover of both books (Swimming and Trampolining)

The Quack and Field books are designed for children from 3-7 years old. Daisy is just under 1 year old but as we are reading to her anyway this isn’t a problem.

Our thoughts on the Quack and Field books

My first thought when reading these books to Daisy is how nice they feel. They feel high quality and the cover is strong too. Ideal for when Daisy wants to help with starting the book reading. Now the topic of these Quack and Field books is self explanatory really. One is about trampolining and one is about swimming. There is quite a lot of text throughout the book which is good and the content is really enjoyable.

There were little cute illustrations on all the pages and these were really fun. Daisy was touching the illustrations and babbling to the book, so I assume that means she likes it!

The characters in the Quack and Field books are fantastic. I found them really cute and enjoyable to read about to Daisy. I like that the characters were different in both books, as it prevented the books being samey. This is despite them being similar in design.

I loved the little fact files at the beginning of these Quack and Field books that gave more detail about the characters. This was a fun part and also helps Daisy learn about different animals too!

Out of these two Quack and Field books I have to say that the swimming one was my favourite. The characters were really quite comical and as Daisy already swims I think this will become a favourite for her. Also, there is a new book launching this month – on Wheelchair Rugby. I think this is fantastic for teaching children about being both able-bodied and disabled. These books are inspiring and can help little ones to be more accepting of other people. Also, I think teaching little ones that anyone can participate in sports is really important.

Daisy and I have really enjoyed these books and they now have a place in her little library she is creating! I love having books on hand when little ones come to visit too and Daisy will be reading these again tonight!

If you’re looking for some new reading material for your little one this year then why not check out Quack and Field books. You can buy them direct from their shop! They are reasonably priced, are GREAT for teaching children about being involved with sports and they are fun too!

The books look really inviting to younger children which is fab!

These look good – anything that encourages little ones into sports is a winner as far as I’m concerned. Love the sound of the wheelchair rugby one too, para-sports are becoming far more mainstream now and we should encourage even the tiniest of people that this is a great thing and a disability doesn’t have to stop you from doing anything!

I completely agree! I love that we can help mould our children into caring and motivated people just through something as simple as reading a book at bedtime!

I’ll need to have a look at these – I’m trying to stock pile books so that we have a big collection in a few months time when we need them!
