Earlier this year I wrote about random acts of kindness for 2017. I talked about what I wanted to achieve, and why. I also spoke about a few of the ways that I have already carried out some random acts of kindness. This year I’m having a super positive year. I’m being kind and considerate and I am trying to make a conscious effort to be good to others. I’m looking for opportunities to help people both online and offline. I’ve got a few more surprises in the pipeline for the coming months but here is a random acts of kindness update from me!

Random acts of kindness 2017 - A selection of my favourite random acts of kindness related quotes

Some of the random acts of kindness that I have carried out since my last post

Donated to the food bank via Tesco

Donated to local hospice (St Clare Hospice)

Gave money to a singing busker

Popped some money in the hat of a juggler

Gave a stranger the extra money when they were short at the till in Sainsburys

Gave away some items that I received to review but don’t have a long term use for

Donated a bag of baby clothes to charity

Tracked down a stranger online who had won The Selfie Lottery – she was thrilled!!! She sent me a message that said ‘Thank you so much! You are so kind to tell me! I never win anything!’. This was a great little random act!

Took a cake to my friend after she had biopsies to see if her cancer has grown (3 candles = 3 nasty biopsies without anaesthetic!)

A cake for my friend after a bad day - Part of my random acts of kindness campaign

Started collecting brand new baby items for a friend of my brothers (three items so far!). New baby sleep essentials are a must for any parent!

This is just a selection of some of the random acts of kindness I have carried out. I have been trying to ensure that I keep a note of them, just for myself. It makes me feel really proud to look and see that I have carried out lots of acts for others. I’m in a really fortunate position in my life and being able to share that with others, even in small ways, makes me feel proud.
