Review: BRIO My Home Town Hen House

We are a huge fan of wooden toys. Anything that is going to sustain the knocks and bangs from life with a toddler is a winner with me. Daisy is quite an energetic child, to put it politely, and she loves to give her toys a firm testing. Every day. Recently we were sent the BRIO My Home Town Hen House toy to play with.

Here you can see the BRIO My Home Town Hen House in its packaging still. It comes well packaged and is kept in perfect condition in the box.

A look at the BRIO My Home Town Hen House

This is what the BRIO My Home Town Hen House looks like out of its packaging. It’s really well made and the quality feels fantastic.

There are some lovely details on this set. I love that the fence can be shaped into a cube, perhaps to place the hen inside. Also, I love that the hen sits on top of the fence. Not only is this cute but it is great for helping Daisy practice her hand/eye coordination. What’s more, the hen can sit on top of the house too – great fun!

I love that the little person has an egg collection basket that slips over them. This is another great activity for little ones to enjoy and it is great practice for Daisy to develop her motor skills more.

What I love the most about this set is that it feels really well made. The door is really sturdy and Daisy hasn’t been able to smash it off yet. Always a plus.

The BRIO My Home Town Hen House has an RRP of £14.99. You can find out more on the Brio website or buy it from Amazon. It is designed for 18 months + and this is still a fantastic toy for Daisy at 2 years old.

If you love wooden toys you’ll probably love the Brio Figure 8 Train Set or the Brio Wooden Doll Pram that we received recently.

We received the BRIO My Home Town Hen House for free in exchange for this review. All opinions are our own.
