In 2018 so far I’ve been working a little harder to lose weight. I haven’t lost a huge amount but I am 1/2 a stone lighter than I was at the start of the year. Better than nothing! This is despite not eating the best, and having a lot of stress recently leading me to eat naughty food and exercise less than I would like to. Recently I’ve been lacking in motivation to get started with healthier eating and exercise again. This is where Shake It Slim comes in! I have been using the Shake It Slim Starter Pack for the past week and want to share with you exactly how it has gone for me.
What is Shake It Slim?
These are meal replacement drinks that can be used on the go. Recently they have been reformulated and have 60% less sugar now. They are high in protein and only 200 calories per serving. Also, they are suitable for vegetarians.

I received the Shake It Slim Starter Pack, with a free meal replacement shaker. This is £31.98 but at the time of writing this post is on offer at £25.99. For this, you receive 7 days of shakes, 14 x 55g, and these are 3 delicious flavours; 4 x vanilla ice cream, 5 x summer strawberry and 5 x double chocolate. I’ve actually received three weeks of these shakes.
How to use the Shake It Slim Shakes
Each shake is 55g and you mix it with 250-300ml of water. Personally, I have been using my shaker to mix them up and have found this works really well.
These shakes are designed to substitute 2 daily meals, typically breakfast and lunch, and then you eat one healthy, balanced and nutritious meal each day. For me, I have been using the slow cooker and making vegetable heavy dinners, like I usually do.
What I love about these shakes, compared to other shakes, is that you don’t need a supply of skimmed milk or something else that you probably never buy otherwise. You just add water and there you go – drink ready!
Did the Shake It Slim Shakes work for me?
I’m surprised to say that yes they did. The first thing that I personally needed to conquer was remembering to have these for two meals; breakfast and lunch, and not having my usual toast or omelette. I found this easy, from the first day, probably because I’ve been going through a really busy time at the moment. In actual fact, I liked that it took me just 10-15 seconds to get my breakfast and lunch ready on my really busy days.
My favourite flavour was the double chocolate, my least favourite was the summer strawberry, however, it was still drinkable and I don’t even like strawberries usually! I just spread them out over the first 4 days lunches each week to get them drank and avoid waste. I would happily have had one of those each day but I just preferred the double chocolate and vanilla ice cream flavours personally.
How much weight did I lose?
I completed one week using the Shake It Slim weight loss shakes and I made sure to eat healthy dinners every evening. Also, I did snack during the day, but I made sure that they were healthy choices too. Generally, I ate healthy, alongside drinking the shakes.
I lost 3lbs the first week I used the shakes. I was really pleased with that and it has been a good boost to getting back on track with healthy eating, weight loss and exercising regularly.
The second week that I completed I lost 2lbs. During this week I did have a meal out, and a takeaway, so I was REALLY pleased with 2lbs!
