Shopping apps

When it comes to food shopping it is fair to say that it can be difficult to get discounts at times. While there seems to be a plethora of special offers these are frequently not as good as they initially seem.

With people becoming more concerned about rising prices and saving money this has paved the way for a new mobile app. These shopping apps will allow you to shop for specific items during your weekly shop and earn cashback on the purchases.

The two shopping apps that I use to earn money on my food purchases are Shopitize and Clicksnap (from Quidco). Both of these shopping apps are free to download and you can begin earning money in next to no time at all.

Using both of these apps is very simple. All you need to do is load up the shopping apps and look at the latest items on offer. Once you find an offer that you are interested in you can click on it and choose to add it to your basket, as I’ve shown here:

Once you’ve added the offer to your basket you will be required to upload a photograph of your shopping receipt. The receipts are simple to add and you will usually be required to add your whole receipt.

Cashout with shopping apps

The minimum cashout requirement with Shopitize is £4 and this is paid via Paypal. Cashback earned on Clicksnap is added back to your Quidco account. Then you can cash it out in a variety of ways.

Personally I find these shopping apps are super simple to use. The others are mostly on branded products, which I don’t always buy. There are frequently items that you can purchase and claim back the full cashback for. This is fantastic and gives me a great opportunity to try products for free or discounted.

If you want to join you can find these great shopping apps by clicking here for Shopitize. Also, here for Clicksnap. If you aren’t already a member of Quidco you can become one by clicking here.

For shopitize – for clicksnap too for that matter – do you kind of click on the deals post-shop or do you put a deal in your basket, then go out and buy the thing and post the evidence?

Personally I login and check just before I go shopping, I add the deals to my basket and then after I have finished my shopping I usually upload the receipts after I’ve loaded the shopping into my car. It is usually straight forward to snap photographs of the receipts in the app and get them sent off. I tend to hear within hours, if shopping during the day, that the items have been accepte and the money has been added to my account.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. I’d not heard of this kind of cashback before!

Personally I just add them to my basket when I am shopping and then I complete afterwards and send them photos of my receipts via the relevant app. Usually very straightforward.
