Our third 2018 bucket list update

As we’re into October now I thought it would be a great time for a bucket list update! I cannot believe that Summer has been and gone, and my favourite time of the year is rapidly approaching. I love Autumn, and Winter is my FAVOURITE season! For us this time of year always means lots of trips to Centerparcs, family walks, and being out enjoying the crisp fresh air. Creating a bucket list, for the second year, has really kept me accountable with making memories and having fun as a family. Also, there were a few activities that we wanted to complete as a couple, without Daisy, and this bucket list helps me hold myself accountable. Here is our third 2018 bucket list update – so you can see what we’ve been up to!

Here is a reminder of our 2018 bucket list at the beginning of the year:

Our second 2018 bucket list update

The year is zipping by, isn’t it?! I can’t believe we’re almost into August already. The children are off school, the sun has been shining for an age and it’s been a good year for my family so far. Being self-employed can mean that family time falls by the wayside, as I get busy with work. By creating a 2018 bucket list I have been hoping to find myself accountable. Today I want to share with you my second update, so you can see what we’ve achieved so far.

Our 2018 Bucket List – Hoping for a fun year again this year!

2016 was a rough year for us, so I decided to work to ensure that 2017 was better. It paid off and we have had a lovely year! We created a 2017 bucket list and it was our first ever bucket list together. Someone sent me a rude message last year, to let me know that the term ‘bucket list’ should only be used by people on their deathbed. I deleted it, as I’ve no time for negativity, or being told what to do and decided to start writing one every year. Anyone of us could die at any time, and life is too short to spend all of your time thinking ‘one day’ to things that you want to do. By creating our 2018 bucket list we are going to have lots of fun activities to look forward to. Anyway, here is a look at our 2018 bucket list!

Our 2017 Bucket List – our bucket list update

Back in January I wrote a post containing our 2017 bucket list. It was something that I created, on a whim, after seeing a few other people doing so. I love the idea of having a list of things that I want us to achieve throughout the year. I tried to ensure that each of the items on the list was something fun. For me a bucket list should be about pushing yourself to try something new. It should also allow you to make time for your family, and yourself, to have fun and relax. Being self-employed it can be hard for me to switch off at times. Right now I’m writing this post pretty late at night – just to get it done. Days off are really important to me and I’m really excited to share with you our 2017 bucket list update.

Our 2017 Bucket List – Lots of fun ahead for us!

My lovely husband and I had an up and down year in 2016. First my Mum was in a coma, and almost died. Then I almost died when our daughter arrived and it was a long recovery after my c-section. Then my friend found out she had womb cancer. To top it all off my Dad passed away from cancer – all in the first six months of the year. Daisy was poorly, my father-in-law too and in all we had a rough first six months. The second half of the year did see a vast improvement. Anyway, 2017 could be another up and down year, who knows. To celebrate a new year, and being alive I have created a 2017 bucket list. This is full of lovely things that I want to enjoy with my family.
