I’m a real fan of a lazy dinner. I love to utilise my slow cooker where possible. Often I don’t want to spend more than 10-15 minutes preparing dinner, but I still want to serve my family something tasty. For me, I love to be able to put dinner on in the morning and then come back, at the end of a day of work, and find that dinner is ready to serve. This is so convenient, helps us avoid the takeaway and saves us money too. This week of super easy dinners is going to be a mixture of slow cooker dinners (that are still easy to make without a slow cooker) and fast dinners.
I’m a real fan of cooking from scratch. Often I will put a meal in my slow cooker. When I have the time to spare I look to cook fresh at dinnertime and this bolognese pasta bake was a recent meal I made. It took under 20 minutes from start to get it in the oven and it was delicious too. Hot, hearty, and cheap to make here is the recipe for my bolognese pasta bake. I’m a huge fan of using our slow cooker. It is so simple to prepare a meal, leave it cooking and then serve it up when we are ready to eat. If our plans change or our my daughter doesn’t want to go to bed, then dinner won’t be ruined. We can set the slow cooker to keep warm and our dinner will be waiting for us when the time is right. Another thing that I love about using the slow cooker is that we can use cheaper cuts of meat and bulk out our meals with lots of healthy vegetables. I’ve posted a fair few slow cooker recipes here now and I want to share with you today a week of slow cooker dinners.
