Daisy is 13 months old

My little girl is already 13 months old. Every single month I just cannot believe that another month has passed us by. It feels like a lifetime since I last wrote one of these posts but really it is just one month. Mad! This last month has been filled with ups and downs for us, but we are here and that is the main thing! Daisy is 13 months old – where has the time gone?

Daisy is 13 months old - and covered in filth!

Look at my little messy girl! We’ve had lots of days where we have been sitting at home together, in our PJs, feeling sorry for ourselves.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 21st April

What a week it has been! For a change I haven’t managed to schedule this post at least the day before. We have had a really rubbish week. Between my injured eye, having tonsilitis and having to wear a 24 hour blood pressure monitor I’m pretty sad about my health this week. However, just to top that off Daisy had a febrile convulsion on Wednesday which was a terrifying few hours for us. Still, I’m not one to dwell so I’ve been looking forward to thinking about some of the good achievements of the week. This week has been a good one for frugality at least. Here is my Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 21st April post.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 14th April

Well this week has had some highs and some lows! The high for me was that we managed to get to the allotment twice. In total about 5-6 hours was spent there and now it is looking so much better. I’ve weeded lots, raised beds have been dug over and lots more. Now we are ready to start planting some more vegetables and I’m feeling really organised. Our allotment is a source of joy for us and it is about more than just growing food. Although that is nice too! This week has been a good one for frugality. Here is my Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 14th April post.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 7th April

We’ve had a normal sort of week this week. Work, family commitments and more. We’ve also been able to get down our allotment and get some more work done which has been great. We are just about managing to spin all of the places – just about! This week has been a pretty good one in terms of being frugal and I’m saving up for our holiday in 3 weeks time – can’t wait now. Here is my Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week – 7th April post. Five Fabulously Frugal Things I've Done This Week - 7th April 2017

Edie & Rona – I’m hoping to be stylishly organised

I’m going to tell you a secret… Once upon a time I didn’t get why people liked stationery. Then I started needing to write to-do lists to keep organised. Initially I tried using notes and reminders on the iPhone. Then I tried using apps to create lists. Nothing seemed to really help my motivation to clear my to-do list. Until I made a paper list. Then I started to buy pretty notebooks. Ones with motivational quotes. Ones where I liked the width between the lines. Notebooks that felt luxurious. Suddenly something clicked for me. Now I LOVE writing lists and using stationery. I have started to send cards and notes in the past. Also, I have begun to set weekly, monthly and yearly aims. All wrote down on paper. I still use reminders, and notes, for recurring jobs, however nice stationery is what I love now! Today I want to share with you some beautiful items that I received from Edie & Rona.
